Min-Sun woke up startled the next morning from the constant ringing of her doorbell mixed with some loud knocking. She groaned as she sat up in bed and held her head. The pounding on her door matched the pounding of her head which made her want to yell at whoever it was to go away. When she finally opened her eyes and looked around she realized she was in the same room she fell asleep in. She looked around confused as to why she woke up in the same room she went to sleep in before scrambling to find her phone which showed 7:36 in the morning. She felt her face turn into disgust as she thought about who would ring someones doorbell this early in the morning. Especially since it was a Saturday.
She opened the door to find one of the girls from the previous night in front of her. Min-Sun shielded her eyes from the sun as the other girl gave her a funny look before stepping into the house. "Why are you not dressed we leave for work in 10 minutes." Min-Sun stared at the girl with a funny look.
Work, on a Saturday? She thought she only worked at the library.
Min-Sun stared down at her sleep clothes and when she looked up she saw the girl shaking her head. "You don't ever change do you? Go to the bathroom and brush your teeth and fix your hair. I'll get your clothes ready okay?" Min-Sun nodded confused walking to the bathroom not really knowing what she should be getting ready for. When she came out of the bathroom, she had pulled half of her hair back into a ponytail and took some framing pieces out. She made sure to brush her teeth and even to wash her face even though she was sure they were both going to be late at this point.
The mystery girl came out of the room and looked at Min-Sun and nodded. "Okay go get changed and I'll get you something for your head because I'm pretty sure you have a massive headache going on."
Min-Sun watched as the girl walked by and wondered if she had superpowers or if Min-Sun was just too obvious. After putting on the outfit which consisted of brown corduroy pants and dark brown long sleeve top tucked into her pants, she put on some socks and black combat shoes and a belt that was put along side the clothing laid out. When she came out into the living room the girl had set her a glass of water and some pills on the table. Y/N took them and swallowed them before heading to the sink placing her cup down and thanking the girl.
Min-Sun grabbed her phone and followed the girl out to the silver car parked out front. The girl opened the door and put her purse inside then proceeded to put her leg in to car before looking over to Min-Sun with a curious look. "Don't feel like getting a ride today?" Min-Sun sprang into action before nodding and then getting into to the car.
As the mystery girl began to drive, Min-Sun kept sneaking glances at her feeling like she was going crazy. She was supposed to wake up and be in her own bed and in her own time. Now she was driving with some mystery girl to some job that she didn't even know she had.
When Min-Sun looked over at the girl again she saw that she had really fair skin and her eyes were a deep shade of brown that were complimented by her makeup. Her hair was curled compared to last night and her gold hoop earrings poked out from behind her hair. Min-sun noticed from her position that she didn't only have an eyebrow piercing but a nose ring as well.
She also had to give the girl credit she was amazing when it came to outfits. Min-Sun could have never put an outfit together like the one she had picked for her, and not to mention that the girl looked amazing herself. She had on a beige ribbed turtleneck that was tucked into some black jeans that were pulled together with a black belt with a gold buckle. She was also wearing some black heels which really pulled off the whole look.
"What?" The girl said looking over at Min-Sun out of the corner of her eye.
Min-Sun startled and realized that at this point she had been blatantly staring at her. She panicked before deciding maybe she should be honest. "I was just staring because you are really pretty. That and your outfit is really cool." The girl just laughed at the comments.
"You are always so odd. You trying to win my heart?" She continued to laugh which made Min-Sun laugh along side her. The rest of the ride was spent in silence as Min-Sun stared out the window looking at all the streets they passed. Finally they pulled up to a building that was two stories and had a similar aesthetic to the house that Min-Sun currently lived in.
As both girls walked inside, there was a chorus of good mornings and Min-Sun followed behind the girl afraid to get lost. Both girls ended up in a break room where coffee and tea were on the counters and the girl in front of her began making some coffee for herself. Min-Sun watched her and she heard the door click open and saw Changbin, Chan, and Felix walk in. "Morning Min-Sun. Morning Haewon." Min-Sun smiled at the familiar faces as well as being able to put a name to the face of the girl she had been hanging around all morning.
"Hey Min sorry about yesterday, you were just reaching your limit really quickly. I just thought I should stop you." Chan looked at Min-Sun with guilt, but she waved her hand to try and show that it didn't affect her. It really didn't and if anything she should be thanking him.
"Don't be, you were right I was getting near my limit. I passed out as soon as I hit the bed." She smiled which caused Chan to relax slightly. It got quite as everyone went about making their coffee and tea for the morning having small conversations every know and then.
Min-Sun reminded herself of the conversation she had the previous night with Hyunjin concerning Woojin. She wondered in this moment if she could use the atmosphere to try and get more clarity on what happened.
"It was nice to go out after the incident with Woojin." She said which caused the atmosphere in the room to drastically change and become eerily silent. In that moment she realized maybe she shouldn't have said anything at all and that maybe she needed to navigate the conversation away from the topic that she herself brought up.
"Are you sure you are okay? You haven't talked about the incident with us at all." Felix spoke first conveying his shock that everyone felt. Min-Sun shrugged.
"I don't know really, but there is no sense to pretend it didn't happen though right?" She looked and saw everyone giving her a skeptical look. She hoped she was selling it that she knew what was going on, because right now she has never felt so lost in her entire life.
"I for one am glad you are willing to talk about it! I'm also glad you aren't blaming yourself for it. There was nothing you could have done." Min-Sun looked over to Haewon and smiled and nodded at her words. Blame herself? Nothing she could have done? What was this girl talking about?
"As touching as this moment is, we probably do need to get to work if we want to keep our jobs." Chan ushered us out of the break room and we watched as he put his hand on the lower portion of Haewons back to walk her back over to where they were going. He was in deep conversation with her, the rest of the office seeming to fade away as the both of them laughed and talked. Haewon had the biggest smile on her face as she chatted with Chan.
"Gosh could those two be more obvious." Changbin had said outlaid and Min-Sun almost hurt her neck whipping it around to look at him. At least he was thinking the same thing she was.
"Listen we could say the same thing about you and So-Hee." Felix said taking a sip of his drink and walking back into the office. She looked over at Changbin to see a look of shock on his face and she looked away covering her mouth to keep from laughing too much. "Min you coming?" Felix glanced back over and she nodded following him down the hall leaving Changbin by himself.
"Hey are you coming to the study group after work?" Felix asked her and she gave him a funny look. "Study group? At our place? You used to come to them a lot before the...incident." Felix chose his words carefully and Min-Sun nodded. She debated about just going home and working alone, but if she was honest Korean literature was kicking her butt and she needed all the help that she could get.
"What time is it again?" She asked which caused Felix to smile wide.
