Haewon POV

Opening her eyes, Haewon groaned as the sun was shining directly a them.  She closed her eyes quickly putting her hand over her eyes to try and block out the light, but she felt something tugging on her arm. When she opened her eyes to look, she saw an IV attached at her hand. She furrowed her brows confused before looking around the room. Her eyes landed on the black haired man who was sleeping with his head laying on his arms on the hospital bed.

"Chan?" Her voice hoarse as she called for him. He only slightly stirred before going back to his soft snoring. She tried to reach out to touch him but the slightest movements hurt her entire body.  Instead she tired moving her leg slightly which caused Chan to move a little more and then bolt upright.

"Thank God you are okay." Chan pulled her into his arms. He started to stroke her hair and she sighed patting him on his back trying to let him know she was okay. When he pulled back she saw the redness in his eyes. Wether it was from lack of sleep or crying she couldn't figure out.

Her gaze wandered from his eyes to the blank walls around her to the bed next to her. "Where are we?" She tried to sit up on her own, but Chan helped her sit up fully.  He also placed pillows behind her to help keep her upright. Her voice still sounded sore and Chan reached over for some water letting her have a sip.

"We are at the hospital..do you even remember what happened?" He asked carefully. She stared at the glass in her hands before nodding. She looked up into his eyes that were filled with concern. It made her chest tighten to see him so worried.

"The last thing I remember was going to my car after work. I had gotten off early and was heading home so I could get ready for our date..." She felt Chan take the water from her hand and place it on the bedside table before taking her hands. He was rubbing his thumb on the back of her hands probably giving him something else to focus on, which she appreciated.

"When I reached my car there was a note and I tried to grab it but there was a pain in the back of my head and then I hit the ground...Chan how long was I out?"

Chan took a shaky breath trying to keep emotions in check. "I don't know, they found So-Hee first and then when I tried to call you, you wouldn't pick up so I went to your work and saw you unconscious next to your car with blood on the ground. I don't know how long you were out or anything. I was so worried.." She looked down to his hands were slightly shaking in her own. She started to stroke his hand with her thumb trying to calm him down this time.  She didn't know what to say, so she waited for what else he had to say.

"Lee Know and Felix went with the police to see if they could identify the person who could have done this. Did you see who they were? So-Hee said they were wearing a mask.." Chan trailed off looking into Haewon's eyes. Her gaze softened and she reached out to stroke his cheeks with her thumb. The exhausted, scared look he wore didn't suit him at that moment.

"My back was turned to them when I was hit. I didn't even know they were behind me.."

Chan bit his lip frustrated. "Fuck if I had just been there sooner.."

Haewon took her hand that was stroking his face and grabbed his chin to face her. "Mi Amor, there is nothing you could have done, we didn't know this was going to happen.." She saw the tears that filled his eyes and she saw the way he bit his lip.

"But I-" He was interrupted with Min-Sun walking through the door. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and she all but ran over to Haewon throwing her arms around her. Haewon let out a yelp of surprise which caused Min-Sun to let go of her.

"Oh my gosh Hae. Are you okay? Chan said you were uncurious last time we talked." Min-Sun sat on the bed taking over where Chan was. Haewon saw the concern in her friends eyes and smiled. Normally the situation was reversed and Haewon was doing the comforting, but this time she was the one being comforted and she didn't know how to take it.

She looked over to the doorway and saw Han leaning against it staring over at both the girls on the bed with concern. He came over and smiled to Haewon and she smiled back. He looked over to Chan who was standing beside Haewon's bed and began to talk with him about what all had happened and what they had figured out.

"I just woke up a little bit ago." Haewon pulled her attention back to Min-Sun who still had tears falling down her cheeks.

"Have you guys called the doctor yet? I can go get someone if you need me to.." Min Sun looked at Haewon waiting for her to say something.

Haewon shook her head slightly. "We haven't called the doctor yet, and it will be fine they will come by eventually." She held Min-Sun's hand trying to relieve her worries. Out of them all she had the most concern for her friends, which was something they all appreciated.

"I am so sorry Haewon.." Min-Sun look in Haewon's eyes and Haewon could see the guilt that filled them. She looked at her confused because Haewon was the one in the hospital bed because of some random attacker.

"Minnie..it wasn't like you could do anything about it. It was just some asshole who messed with me for some reason. They are gonna figure it out." Haewon rubbed Min-Sun's hand and she pulled it away shaking her head.

"No you don't understand this is my fault.." Min-Sun grabbed at her pants and began bunching the material in her hands.  Haewon felt a chill going over her spine and looked over to Chan and Han who had quit their own conversation and began to pay attention to theirs.

Before anyone could blink, Chan grabbed some of Min-Sun's shirt to make her look at him. His actions surprised everyone including Min-Sun. She began to shake in his hold and Han tired to pull on his arms to stop him but his grip was tight.

"CHRISTOPHER!" Haewon yelled at him trying to reach for him before feeling faint and falling back onto the pillow behind her. Chan let go momentarily to check on Haewon leaving Min-Sun shaking at the end of the bed.

"Han go get a nurse.." Chan spoke calmly.

"I don't think I should-"

"I said now Han.." Chan gave Han a glare and Han nodded no before Min-Sun looked at Han and nodded.

"It's okay Han, go get a nurse please.."  Min-Sun smiled at Han all while she was shaking.  He kept his eye on her the whole time as he headed for the door before slipping out into the hallway.

"Min-Sun what did you do to her? You had better answer me or I swear to God-" Chan stayed beside Haewon raising his voice but was interrupted by Min-Sun.

"The letters never stopped coming.." She trailed off looking between them both.

"Min-Sun please this is not the time for fucking riddles." Chan growled out causing Min-Sun to flinch back.

"I found another letter the day after I moved in with Felix and Jeongin.  I also got an email from the person who stuck the note in my door with a knife. I didn't want this to get out of hand so I took it to the police. I didn't know that whoever was after me would do all this." She cried out throwing her arms around out in frustration.

"How could you not think to include us in on this? Why do you always want to do everything on your own?" Chan's tone had gone softer than before but still held some bite.

"I was just trying to take care of the situation." She tried to argue back, but it fell on deaf ears.

"And look what it caused in return." He bit out and Haewon looked over to Min-Sun seeing the hurt that flooded her face. She then nodded and turned to face Haewon and bowed her head.

"I'm sorry..for everything. I will go...please get better soon Haewon." She slid off the bed and walked out the door. Chan closed the door behind her before turning to Haewon who was now fuming.

"Chan what the hell was that?"
