chapter 10🎀

this might be a long one with TONS of time skips because i am DETERMINED to finish the backstory in chapter 10 so i can get into the recent time!!

CHRIS'S POV

It was around 9:47 when i woke up and liz was still asleep, she looked so peaceful when she slept i don't know how anyone could ever want to wake her.

my arm was starting to ache as she was lying on it but her head was into my side, i laughed quietly. how was she comfy?

i opened instagram and was scrolling for about 15 minutes and she finally woke up, i looked over and she was rubbing her eyes and then yawned. i looked down at her and smiled, "morning lizzy" and she looked up at me and smiled then a look of realisation came on her face, "chris?" she says while stretching, "what are you doing?" she finishes.

"you asked me to stay last night so i did" i reply and she looks all embarrassed and she goes red, i chuckle, "no need to be embarassed beautiful" i say and she smiles and then covers her face, pushing it more into my side.

i start playing with her hair with my right hand and draw circles on her back with my left and i hear her laugh out a small sigh. she makes me smile and feel all fuzzy inside and the feeling is annoying, i never feel it around anyone else. why her? like she was just my close friend. close friends can cuddle and have sleepovers right? it was normal.

ELIZA'S POV (very very very extremely short pov)

i lay my head on his chest, he was surprisingly comfortable in the morning and not long after i was back to sleep for what felt like 15 minutes but turns out it was an hour.

I woke up again and chris had both of his arms wrapped around me, i think he was asleep too. he looked so peaceful so i have to be careful to not wake him. i try and get out of his arms and his grip tightens, i smile against him,
"where are you going pretty?" he says smiling down at me,
"i'm going to have a shower" i reply and he lets me go, "okay" and he picks up his phone and starts doing something on it.

I get some clothes I walk into my bathroom and lock the door, i turn the shower one and get undressed. i step in and let the warm water go all over my body, being careful not to wet my hair because i didn't want to wash it today. i wash my body and just enjoy the water, i hate going in the shower. like it's a chore or something but when i'm in, i never want to get out. you get me?

after around 20 minutes i step out and wrap a towel around me and put the clothes on that i brought in, it was some cycling shorts, a graphic black tee and a zip up hoodie. it was one i stole off chris like months ago and never returned it, i loved it and wore it almost every day.

I walked out and chris looked at me and smiled,
"nice jacket, where'd you get it?" he asked me in a jokey way and i just roll my eyes and smile. i sit at my desk and do my skincare and makeup,
"you don't need makeup beautiful" he says and i swear my heart skips a couple beats,
"thank you chris" i say trying to hide my smile.

CHRIS'S POV

i watch her as she's putting on her makeup, liz has looked at me a couple times but i don't care, she's beautiful.

i was going to say something but then her phone vibrated and her face lit up, i knew it was jack. but all of me hoped it wasn't, "who is it?" i ask and she looks over at me. she was grinning from ear to ear, "it's jack, he's been hinting that he wants to ask me out for a while now and he asked to meet up later" she says and i could hear the excitement in her voice and to be honest, it killed me. i knew it was selfish, but honestly it really did hurt me. Jack was a player, he did this with every single girl he ever spoke to. got their hopes up, treats them really nice and then he cheats on them or just drops them when he's bored.
