chapter 53🎀

ON THE PLANE

CHRIS'S POV

we were about an hour into the flight now and we were all bored, "where's my book?" eliza asks and i look at her and take out my airpod, "in the suitcase, you want it?" she shakes her head, "what about my airpods"
"you gave them to madi to borrow"

eliza sighs and opens her gushers, "i'm so bored, i cant  do anything on my phone cause i can't hear" eliza says popping a gusher in her mouth, "want one?" she asks pointing the open packet at me and i nod sticking my hand into the packet.

i pass her the airpod i took out, "have this" she takes it out of my hand and smiles at me while putting it in her ear, "thanks" i go off my playlist on apple music and put on our playlist. it had both of our favourite artists on and to be honest, i may act like i don't like her music but her shit is actually good, well, most of it.

is it over now? by taylor swift comes in and she looks at me with an opened mouth, she loved this song. it was her favourite vault track, it wasn't a bad song. i laugh at her reaction, "you like this one" i say sarcastically and she rolls her eyes, "duh" she says picking up the cow teddy i got her off the floor as it rolled off her lap.

ELIZA'S POV

i usually hated flying but with him it was different, his presence was somewhat calming.

i yawn, "i'm tired" i say and chris looks at me, "sleep then" he rolls his eyes and i glare at him, "okay" i shrug and lay my head on his shoulder.

it wasn't the most comfortable but i cant sleep when my head is against the chair, i don't get how people can sleep with their head straight. it's so uncomfortable.

i finish my gushers and close my eyes, i eventually drift off.

3 HOURS LATER

i wake up and chris is playing some game on his phone, and the music isn't on, "why's the music off" i ask him and he smiles at me as i rub my eyes, "didn't want it to wake you up" he shrugs and i smile then i shake my head,  "you didn't have to turn it off" he ignores what i just said and grabs something off his tray table, "when the flight attendants came serving food i got you a kit kat and a hot chocolate if you want it? the hot chocolate might be a bit cold now though" he laughs putting the chocolate bar and hot chocolate on my tray.

i look at him with the biggest smile ever, he thought of me. "thank you" i hug him and he hugs me back, "wanna watch a movie with me? i downloaded your favourite" he says opening netflix on his laptop, "mean girls?" i ask and he nods, "is that even a question? of course i want to watch it" i smile and he puts it on for the rest of the flight.

CHRIS'S POV

back in la

me and liz were the last off the plane as we were at the back, "i have post vacation depression, i wanna go back and i've just got off the plane" she sulks and i laugh putting my arm around her and giving her a side hug.

we walk down the steps and everyone looks at us, "about fucking time" matt deadpans and i roll my eyes, "shut the fuck up"

"what's up with her" nick asks gesturing towards eliza who looked sad, "my guess is that she wants to go back to hawaii" madi says and cami agrees, "probably"
"your right" she sulks moving away from me and going to hug her two best friends, "felt like i haven't seen you in forever" she says and i für or my brows, "it's been five hours" i say and laugh and they glare at me, "felt like longer" cami says with wide eyes.

we walk away from the plane and to the bus that takes us to the airport, it's very crammed so we are all very close together.

we're all by the doors and eliza is stud into me holding onto the pole to keep her upright while calling her mom with the other to let her know we have landed, once we had arrived at the airport eliza ends the call and turns around to me as we're getting off the bus, "bro i can't wait to see my mom again, i missed her so much. i also want to see marylou again so next time you guys are in boston i'm coming with" she says and i smile, "not a problem" i laugh pulling her into me and kissing the side of my head, "does she know about us?" eliza asks and i shake my head, "we're going to boston on friday so we will tell her together" i say and she nods.

"do you reckon she'll be happy?" she asks and matt pipes up from behind, "are you kidding? our mom loves you, your like the daughter she never had" i turn around, "where the fuck did you come from? and yeah our mom does love you"
"oh okay" she shrugs and we walk to baggage claim.

once we have got our bags we walk outside to the airport and look for the minivan, we climb inside and get in our usual seats. me and matt in the front, eliza nick and madi in the middle and cami at the back.

"as much as i loved the one in hawaii, this will forever be my favourite minivan" cami sighs and nick side eyes her, "don't say shit like that again" he gags and we all laugh.

i loved our group.

AT HOME

we had dropped cami and madi off and last was eliza, "is it alright with you guys if i crash at yours?" she asks and nick looks at her, "are you kidding? your always welcome" he smiles and so does she, "yeah you can sleep in my room" i say and she stares at me, "well i wasn't going to sleep on the sofa was i?" she says and we all laugh quietly.

we get back and eliza wears some of my sweatpants and a t-shirt, she then climbs into my bed and so do i, "night my love" i say and kiss her head and she smiles, "night love" she replies.

she makes me feel so at peace and easy, like i was going to take each day as it comes from now on. eliza is my person.
