NO ONES POV
eliza, the triplets and justin had just arrived back home. eliza had a sense of deja vu when she stepped out of the car, being as the last time she was here was when she fell out with chris and now look at how far they'd come.
she stands still, staring at the house and someone taps her shoulder. she turns around and is now looking at matt, "you okay?" he asks and she nods, "yeah i just haven't been here in ages" eliza laughs and matt nods, "oh my gosh i know, it's been like three years for you" he replies and she nods.
before the pair can say anything else nick calls them from the trunk, "matt, eliza your luggage" he rolls his eyes as they both walk over to grab their luggage.
after they had locked up the car justin knocked on the door and marylou opened it, "boys hello!" she says, completely unaware of who was stud behind them.
eliza felt a rush of happiness, as she hadn't seen marylou and jimmy in ages, and she also felt awkward, for the exact same reason she felt happy.
after she had hugged the boys eliza walks in and smiles, mary lou's face lights up as she cups eliza's cheeks, "eliza, dear! how have you been" she smiles, engulfing the girl into a huge bear hug.
eliza smiles into the hug, "i've been good, thank you. how have you been?" she asks as marylou disconnects the hug, but she was still holding onto her arms.
marylou looks up at the girl in awe, "you was gorgeous before, but your like really beautiful now you've all grown up" she gushes and eliza smiles, "thank you" she replies, marylou now let's go and calls jimmy down to help with the luggage.
jimmy comes down the stairs and hugs the boys and then he looks at eliza, "eliza! hey kiddo, how have you been" he smiles hugging her and she hugs him back, "i've been good jimmy how have you been?" she asks as they let go, "i've been good, make yourself at home" he smiles and she nods.
it was so nice seeing marylou and jimmy again, in highschool they were pretty much eliza's second parents, her second home. they always knew when she was upset or when something was bothering her, and she will forever be greatful for them even though they don't see eachother that often now.
CHRIS'S POV
seeing my mom and dad welcome eliza like they had never been apart really made me happy. it made me smile, i wonder how happy they'll be when we tell them we are together.
"i'm going to unpack" i say to my parents who are fussing over eliza, "oh yes, you guys go unpack and when your all done you can come and tell us all about your trip to hawaii. i'll make something" mom smiles going into the kitchen.
me matt and nick all go into our rooms and eliza comes into mine, "i've missed your parents so much" she says sitting down on my bed, and i smile at her as i'm hanging stuff up in my wardrobe, "i don't know if you could tell, but they've missed you too" i laugh and i hear her laugh softly.
"you not unpacking?" i ask her and she shakes her head, "nowhere for me to put my stuff so i'll just keep it in my suitcase" she replies and i shake my head, "i'll move my stuff over" i say and she shakes her head, "chris it's fine, really" she replies and i furrow my brows at her, "nonsense, if you don't do it i'll do it for you" i say and she laughs, "where have you been all my life" she says as he grabs my face and kisses my cheek. i just smile.
AFTER THEY'VE UNPACKED
ELIZA'S POV
we all go downstairs and into the kitchen, we all sit around the kitchen counter and jimmy and marylou and jimmy stand opposite us, leaning on the counter.
"so how was hawaii?" jimmy asks us, "so good" i reply, covering my mouth as i was eating some cookies that marylou lay out on a plate in the middle of the counter. everyone nods, "it was so fun" nick says and we also all nod again.
"what did you guys do?" jimmy asks and chris looks at me and i smile, "we went scuba diving" matt says, "definitely want to do that again" he finishes and we nod, "we also went skydiving" nick says and marylou shakes her head, "that's dangerous" she says and nick glares at her, "well i didn't die did i, i'm still here" he laughs and marylou just stares at him straight faced.
"we also went to the arcade" chris says and i smile, knowing what was coming out. "and then i also asked eliza out" he says proudly and marylou covers her mouth in shock and jimmy smiles at us.
"did you now?" jimmy says as he makes his way over to us and he puts his arms around us, "i always knew something was going to happen with you two ever since you came over here the first time" marylou smiles, "ah! i cabt believe it" she says coming over to hug me and chris.
"you guys don't even know if she said yes" chris laughs and jimmy rolls his eyes, "well if she never said yes then eliza wouldn't've come to boston now would she" he says and chris raises his eyebrows, "true"
"i was always telling chris to get with a girl like you in highschool, or even you" marylou gushes and i look at chris as he's going red. me, matt, nick and justin all laugh, "did she now, christopher?" i smile and he rolls his eyes, "no need to go into details, mom" he laughs and so does marylou.
"i always knew this was going to happen" jimmy smiles as he lets go of us and walks back to the front.
marylou cooks us dinner and later on we all had a movie night, i felt so comfortable around them.
