I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache. I rolled over with a groan and saw the spot beside me empty. I checked my phone and saw the early time of 8:46 flashing back at me. I groggily got out of bed and walked down the stairs. I saw Elliot shirtless in a pair of basketball shorts making breakfast. I saw a cup of orange juice and two tylenol sitting at the bar. I grabbed the pills and swallowed them with a swig of orange juice. Elliot put a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me. I happily bit into the crunchy bacon, I let out a small moan as I chewed.
After I finished breakfast I stood up and walked outside on the balcony. There weren't many people out at this time of day. I looked out at the vast ocean and watched as the sun swept across the waves. I felt a hand on my back. I tensed and flinched a little. "woah darling, it's just me, come on we are gonna spend the day out and about." I took a deep breath when I heard Elliot's soothing voice in my ear. I nodded and went inside. I grabbed my phone and unhooked it from the charger. I turned on my blue tooth and hooked my phone up to the speaker. I walked into the bathroom and turned on my music before setting my phone on the counter.
I turned on the shower and waited for it to get warm. I stepped in the shower and let the warm water cascade down my body. I grabbed my body wash and washed my body. I hummed along to the song that was playing on the speaker. I quickly shampooed and conditioned my hair. I turned off the shower and grabbed my towel. I dried off before wrapping the towel around me. I walked into my room and put on my white bandeau and matching underwear. I put on mu ripped cut offs, and grey tank top with an american flag with the words live free on it. I walked back to the bathroom and scrunched my hair. I braided both sides of my bangs pulling them back. I exited the bathroom, put on some sandals and walked down stairs. Elliot was waiting on the couch in a aqua button up and khakis. He smiled and stood up when I got to the bottom of the stairs.
"How's your head feeling?" He asked as we walked outside. I nodded. "Better." I replied getting in the car. He got in and started the car.
"So where are we headed?" I asked putting on my sunglasses as Elliot started down the strip of highway. He just grinned and shook his head. We started driving down Highway 17. He slowed as we reached broadway at the beach. I gave him a small grin.
"How did you know I wanted to come here?" I asked my grin growing. He shrugged and ran a hand through his hair. We got out and Elliot lead me to wonder works, you know that giant upside down house? That's the place. We did the 6 zones, my favorite being the physical challenge zone. By that time it was about lunch time, we made our way back to the shops and picked a place to eat.
"You are literally the best boyfriend ever." I said as we sat waiting on our food.
"And you are the best girlfriend ever." He said gently rubbing the back of my hand. I grinned at him. I never thought it was possible for one person to make me this happy. Just being with him made me smile. He was one of those guys like out of a movie, always going above and beyond to make my day. A part of me was scared to lose this, but I wasn't going to say it aloud. I always have been scared to lose him. I'm not perfect and I honestly don't deserve someone as great as him. A huge part of me knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with him, and that honestly scared me to death. I'll always be afraid there is someone better out there, and that he might leave me. I knew I had no power over anything that happened, I'd just have to put all my trust in God and let him lead the way.
Our food came and we ate and made small talk. After we finished we shopped for a few hours. It was about 4:30 when we decided to leave. We drove down to Huntington beach and took some pictures. Huntington always was breathtakingly beautiful. After that we went to Murrel's Inlet. We drove to a cute seafood place called Russel's. After we ordered our drinks they brought out a basket of hush puppies. I bit into one and moaned. These were the best hush puppies I had ever tasted. I saw Elliot smiling at me. I grinned sheepishly.
