I felt the sob in my throat as soon as Elliot spoke those words. I turned and walked out of the house. How could he hide this from me. He has a daughter. Those words raced through my mind as a sat on the curb. He betrayed me, I felt as if he had been lying to me the whole time, the whole time I knew this boy, the boy I thought I would spend my life with lied to me. "thanks for the heads up." I mumbIed to my self. heard a pair of feet hit the ground coming towards me. "I can explain, please let me." Elliot said looking down at me. "Explain what? I've known you for almost a year and you lie to me." I said my heart hurting down deeply.

"I didn't lie."

"Then what do you call it." I yelled standing up facing him. He stumbled on his words. "Baby." he said grabbing my waist. I jumped away like his hands were burning coals. "Don't touch me until you explain." I said glaring at him, if looks could kill he would be six feet under. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"It's Amber's." He mumbled. "Since me and her were together since sophomore year of high school and as soon as we got out of high school I proposed. three months later she was pregnant. About a month before the crash She had Brooke. I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to not like me or hate her or.... I just was scared." I saw his eyes glistening with tears.

I felt sorry for Elliot. I wrapped my arms around him and we held each other. "Come on lets go eat." He whispered in to my ear.I nodded and we turned around and went inside.

As I walked into the dining room I saw his grandparents feeding Brooke. "I'm sorry for my sudden out burst, Elliot had not yet informed me of little Brooke." His gran laughed tenderly. "I understand my dear Elliot has never been good with words." I saw his face go red. "Now dear go sit down while Elliot grabs you a plate of food." She said grabbing my arm and forcing me into a chair beside her.

As Elliot walked into the kitchen his grand lean over. "So have you and Elliot done the deed?" She questioned in a quiet voice. I shook my head, blushing. "So are you still a clean girl if you know what I mean." I nodded my face getting even hotter. Elliot walked back in. "You got a keeper boy hold on to her and never let her go." Elliot smiled down at me. "I don't plan on it." He said kissing the top of my head.

After dinner I held Brooke in the living room. I looked down at her as she wrapped a chubby little finger around mine. I smiled and kissed her forehead lovingly. I felt a hand go around my waist. I looked and saw Elliot. He looked down at Brooke and grinned. "Come on love I want to show you something." Elliot said gently and took Brooke and laid her down. "Go change." He said sending me up stairs. I put on a long sleeve aqua shirt, leggings and boots. I walked back down stairs and saw him waiting with keys.

He held out his hand before leading me out the door. We loaded up into his car. He headed out of the development. He headed down the dim lit road before we reached a small park. He stopped the car and we got out. "This was always the place I would come to if I was scared, sad, anything, this park was my safe haven." He said as we sat on the swings. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked swinging back and forth. "Because I no longer need this place." I raised my eyebrow in question. "Because now I have you."
