Chapter two- all is fair in love and war

Fintry's P.O.V.

I picked up the phone with shaking hands. I looked down and read the caller I.D. It read carter. I put the phone back up to my ear. "Why do you want to know?" I asked trying to stay calm. "Cause I always get what I want now who is Elliot?"

I pushed the end call button and sat down on my bed. Carter had called me. I closed my eyes fresh tears threating to spring out. I put my phone on the night stand and laid back down. I closed my eyes and was pulled into the darkness.

I woke up and stretched out. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a doughnut. Bailey was still asleep. I threw away my paper towel and walked into my room. I put on a bikini top and work out shorts. I slipped on my running shoes and stepped onto the white sand. I walked down to the edge of the ocean and stretched. I put in my earbuds and started up my music. I started off at a slow run.

I ran to the pier which was a good .7 of a mile away from where I was staying. I walked up the stairs and into a restaurant. I ordered a water. I sipped at the bottle before screwing the cap back on and running back. I got back around 9:49 and sat on the stairs trying to catch my breath.

I finally started breathing like a human being. I walked inside and checked my phone.

E- I'm taking you out to dinner and I'll tell my secret if you tell yours?

F- nice try but I don't want to sorry

E- but that's not fair

F- all is fair in love and war

E- so this is love?

F- more like war

E- if that's what you want to call it ;)

F- I'm going to get ready now

I threw my phone on my bed and put on my blue and white stripped bikini. I walked into the kitchen to find bailey eating a doughnut. "I'm ready to go get my tan on when you are." I said and she jumped and dropped her doughnut. I laughed and shook my head. I turned around to walk back into my bedroom I feel something sticky and round on my head.

I clench my teeth and pull the doughnut out of my hair. Bailey clutches her stomach as she laughs. I look at her and can't stop from laughing. I hear someone clear their throat I look and see Elliot and another very attractive guy standing there.

"How did you get in?" I ask slowly.

He shrugs casually. " I figured you'd be at the beach since you said you were changing. So when you weren't there I came through the balcony. And oh by the way this is Ashton." He said and pointed to the guy standing beside of him. I saw bailey starring at him. I shook my head and started down the hall. "Going to wash the doughnut out of my hair and bailey take a picture it will last longer." I said and closed the door to my bedroom.

I walked into the bathroom and washed my hair. I hummed as I dried it. I sat down my hair dryer and opened my bathroom door. I saw Elliot laying on my bed. I saw him staring at my phone. "Who's carter?" He asked and handed me my phone. "The devils spawn." I mumbled and looked at the text.

C- I've seen how much of a babe you've became this summer. I know you blocked me on everything but I have connections and let's just say I want you back. So what do you say give me another chance?

I felt tears roll down my eyes. Memories came flooding back from that night. I felt someone hug me. I cried on their shoulder and we laid down on the bed. With shaky fingers I blocked carter from being able to text me. I sat up and wiped my tears from my eyes. Elliot rubbed small circles on my back.

I pulled away from his touch. "I'm sorry." He mumbled. I nodded and looked at the floor. "What happened to you?" He asked. "I just please I don't want to talk about it." He nodded and walked out of the room. I grabbed my phone and re-read over the text he sent me. This can't be happening.
