I sat on the couch watching re-runs of Grey's anatomy and eating kit-kats. Everyone was out doing their own thing, as much as they wanted to stay with me I didn't want their lives to end over what happened to me.
I heard a knock at the door. I stood up and wrapped the blanket around me. It had been a week since I went to the clinic. I opened the door and saw my lovely parents standing there. I stepped back as they stepped in.
"Grace so good to see you again." My mom said kissing my cheek. I nodded as she looked me up and down. She shook her head. "Did you not get my message? We are having a guest over in a few hours and you look like a wet cat."
Just as my mother finished I heard a voice call from upstairs. "Babe have you seen my blue short sleeve button up?" Elliot called as he walked down the stairs in just khakis, with his hair dripping wet and water running down his chest. I closed my eyes and turned to him. "Elliot these are my parents." I said with a tight smile walking over to him.
He smiled at my parents. "Hello Mr and Mrs. Woodley. I'm Fintry's friend, Elliot." My mother gave a disproving nod. "You must be the boy she met at the beach and thinks that she is in love with you." I glared at my mother.
"I do love him." I said meeting my mothers eyes. I felt Elliot wrap and arm around me and kiss the top of my head. I heard a sigh escape my mothers lips. "You think you do, but you don't. Now Elliot I think it's best if you leave our house and not come back. Please go get your things and leave."
As Elliot turned to leave I grabbed his arm. "Mother he is staying. He is a nice boy and I love him and he loves me. I don't love Carter. I have never loved him and will never love him."
"James." My mother whined to my dad. "Son, just leave. I'm trying to be nice but you both are testing my nerves." I sighed and turned around and headed upstairs with Elliot.
"I'm sorry." I said taking a seat on his bed. "Don't be I'll stay with one of your brothers friends, but I'm not leaving." He replied, putting clothes back in his bag. He sighed before kissing my head. "I'll call you later." I nodded as he turned around and walked out.
I followed him and walked downstairs in defeat. My parents were sitting in the kitchen. "Is he gone?" My mother asked. I nodded and grabbed a propel. "GO shower and get ready." I clenched my teeth by nodded and started upstairs, as I passed the couch where my phone was it went off. I looked at the I.D. and it read Officer Hunt. I took a deep breath before answering.
Hello?" I said walking up the stairs.
"Fintry Hi. It's officer hunt. I have the results from the rape test."
I felt my stomach drop. "Ok." I manged to say."The test does prove you were sexually assaulted. It doesn't look like you are pregnant either."
I let out the breath I didn't know I was even holding. "So what does this mean?" I said inspecting the bag that was laying on my bed. I shrugged before setting it down.
"It means we can go to court with this and possibly send him to jail."
"Thank you so much for calling me and doing all this for me."
"No big deal, but I have to go. Bye." I heard the line go dead.
I grabbed my phone and walked into the bathroom. I turned on my music and got in the shower. I scrubbed my body with Beautiful Day bodywash. I washed my hair with and got out. I wrapped a towel around me and stepped into my room.
I plugged in my curling wand before walking over to my bed and opening the bag. Inside was a black almost purple lace strapless dress. I put it on the bed and put on underwear and a strapless black bra. I put on the dress and went into the bathroom and dried my hair.
