I yawned as I sat in class the next morning. "You look tired." Wyatt commented I nodded. I had got home with Elliot late, then we hung out for a while longer and as a result, I look like crap.
"so has Chance said anything about me since your in his group?" I questioned Wyatt. He nodded slowly. "All he talks about is how much he misses you and how beautiful you are. So I told him that he needs to screw off, he messed up so if I ever catch him staring at you ever again I'll poke his eyes out and make him eat them." Wyatt replied with a grin.
"feeling violent today aren't we?" I said trying to hold in my own grin. He smiled sheepishly and turned away as the professor walked in. I got out my notebook and rested my head on my desk as he went on about how important teachers where and how important their job was. I just groaned and doodled on my notebook. I heard someone clear their voice and I looked up. The professor was right into front of me. I raised up my head and closed my notebook. "Am i boring you?" He said scowling at me. "Uhm not really." i said looking down. He dismissed the class and I walked out. "He really got you." Wyatt said grinning. I shook my head and walked away.
I walked down the side walk alone looking at my phone. I felt arms wrap around me and I brought my elbow forward then jabbed it into the persons stomach. I heard a groan as they let go. I turned around and saw Elliot. I covered my mouth. "Elliot, honey I'm sorry I didn't know it was you, please don't ever do that again." I said covering my heart. "Noted." He said with a groan staying bent over. It took him a few minutes to finally get his breath back but when he did he stood up and we started walking. "Man you have a sharp, boney elbow Fin. "
I laughed as he intertwined our hands. "So that was my only class today so where are we going?" I said becoming serious. "You know where Gastonia is, right?" I nodded slowly. "Well thats where i grew up." I slowly put the pieces together. "No, I can't meet your family what if they hate me? Or I smell? Or my hair looks bad, I say something stupid, I fart in front of them." i said talking quickly. "Hey, Fintry your perfect, take a deep breath, they will absolutely love you princess." He said and kissed my temple.
He walked me to my dorm. I changed into a white tank top with a light blue button up, a floral scarf, followed by a tan colored sweater. I slipped on my favorite leggings and brown leather boots. I threw some extra clothes into a over night bag. I grabbed my charger and all other things I needed before following Elliot to his car. Gastonia was a good ways away. I fiddled with the radio until finding the perfect station with Mean to me blaring out.
I sung along with the radio with Elliot singing very off key. After the song went off he turned down the radio and cleared his throat. "This should be our song, cause perfect is what I see and falling is defiantly how I feel." I giggled a little. "I swear your the best ever." I said grinning like the cheshire cat.
It was only about 11:30 when we stopped to eat. We pulled into the Wendy's drive thru and ordered. We kept driving as we ate. "So why does your grandparents want to meet me?" I questioned biting into the juicy chicken. He shrugged "They are weird about this kind of stuff, they always have been." He said sipping his strawberry lemonade. It went silent as we ate. I looked out the window at all the fields blowing by. I looked at Elliot and smiled. It left me wondering how I got so lucky to even get to glance at Elliot.
I noticed when he turned into a little development. I fidgeted with my hands as He slowed down and pulled into the large, circular, drive way. He put his hand over mine and squeezed mine gently. "Hey its fine, I'm here and not going anywhere. I took a deep breath and nodded. I opened the door and stepped out. Elliot walked around to me and grabbed my hand. He took me to the door and walked in. "Guys I'm home." He yelled. I looked around not noticing how huge his house was. I women with bright eyes came in. "Well hello dear." She said in a soft tone. I could tell there was a resemblance. They both had the same facial structure.
"Hello gran." He said letting go of my hand long enough to hug her. "Gran this is Fintry." He said gesturing to me. "hello." I said and shook her hand. Her hand was warm and small. "Hello Fintry , Elliot goes on and on about you and now I know why your beautiful. I smiled and blushed. "Thank you." I said honestly. "Sweetie get in here and meet this young lady." She yelled. A man with white hair and glasses came out. "Hey son." He said hugging Elliot. "Hey pop." He said smiling, and I could tell he was actually happy. His grandfather looked at me before wrapping his old arms around me.
"So is our boy treating you like a real man should?" He questioned with a little smile playing on his lips. "oh yes sir." I said glancing at Elliot. "Please call me Don and call my wife Pat." I nodded and smiled. "Alright who's ready to eat?" Pat said grinning warmly. Elliot nodded and pulled me into the dinning room. I saw a little baby sitting in the Chair. She seemed to be no older than a year and a half. "shes so cute." I cooed. "Who's is she?" I said turning around to face everyone. They all exchanged glances and Elliot cleared his throat. "She's mine."
