chapter 8: final confrontation

INT. MEWTWO'S TOWER - THRONE ROOM - DAY

Brock, misty, and Miranda arrive at the top floor, were Mewtwo is sitting in its throne, scowling at The Intruders angrily. The room is large and open, with large parts of the ceiling missing, causing daylight to shine through the room.

The trainers stand with their Pokemon beside them, ready for anything.

Mewtwo: you truly are persistent... it would appear that you are all under the impression that I have nothing better to do with my time! Then again, that would be the case with most pests!

Miranda: it's time to put an end to this, Mewtwo!

Mewtwo levitates up from its throne, placing itself just a few feet from the trainers. As Mewtwo looks at them, it's eyes glow briefly.

Mewtwo: ah... that's right! It would seem that you all were among the first few trainers to Bear witness to my power. Hmph... if nothing else, I must compliment your tenacity! But, in the end...

Mewtwo's body begins to Glow with an intense psychic energy. The group prepares themselves, knowing what is soon to come.

Mewtwo: ... a pest is still a pest!

Throwing its hands out in front of itself, Mewtwo emits powerful shock waves that knock the trainers and their Pokemon back a few feet.

Still standing, the group readies themselves for the battle ahead. Their Pokemon stand by, ready to attack at a moment's notice.

Mewtwo: you still think you can take me? Fine! Show me just how powerful you really are!

Mewtwo uses its power to levitate itself up into the air.

Brock and Misty's Pokemon charge at Mewtwo all at once, attacking with all their might. Mewtwo counters by firing psychic energy blasts toward them.

INT. MEWTWO'S TOWER - UPPER LEVELS - DAY

Meanwhile, Ash continues to try to reason with Pikachu, who will not let up on its attacks. The Pokemon jumps at Ash, head-butting him in the stomach, and knocking him into the Next Room.

Holding his stomach, Ash manages to pick himself back up, pointing both of the barrels at Pikachu.

Ash: pikachu, don't make me do this!

Suddenly, from all corners of the room, a group of Pokemon appears, including scyther, Nidoqueen, and Magmar. The very same ones from the forest.

Ash: not these guys again!

Scyther flies up into the air and thrusts both blades downward Ash, who swiftly rolls out of the way for spraying Scyther with the solution.

He attempts to fire a Pokeball, but Scyther quickly flies away.

Nidoqueen charges at Ash, who is just barely able to dodge. Ash tries to get some distance, but Nidoqueen turns around, hitting Ash with its tail.

Ash continues to put up a fight against the Pokemon, but they just won't give him an opening. Ash attempts to fire a Pokeball at Magmar, who melts it away with a powerful flamethrower, which shoots out in Ash's Direction.

Ash attempts to block it with the left barrel of his gear, but the intense Heat manages to melt the opening of the barrel, fusing it shut.

Ash: no!

No longer able to use the solution stored in the tank, Ash's options are now Limited.

He continues to avoid the oncoming attacks of the Pokemon when he notices Pikachu climbing to a higher vantage point.
