Break Up?

"Ring! Ring!"

Sky's phone kept ringing. He knew who it was without even looking. Prapai had been calling and texting him all day. Sky had ignored it all. He didn't want to talk to him. He wanted a clean break. He wanted to cut Prapai out of his life and move on. Though Prapai had other ideas.

Suddenly, a call came and Sky didn't recognize the number. He thought it was probably one of his classmates so he answered the call.

    "Hello?" Sky answered the call.

"So you'll answer if it's not my number calling you?" The person on the phone asked.

"P'Pai you should've taken the hint when I didn't answer your other calls." Sky said.

"Where are you? You're making me worried."

"It's not your business where I go." Sky replied.

"Do you realize what you just said?"

"You still haven't figured it out yet? I'm tired of you."  Sky told him.

"This isn't funny Sky. You've dissapeared for two weeks. I couldn't find you anywhere. Even my patience has limits."

"On the contrary, it's been very fun for me. Watching you scramble around to try and win me over. Though I'm sick of pretending to be a pitiful boy now. And stop calling me. It's annoying."

For a few moments, neither one said anything. The silence was thick and filled with tension.

"I don't believe you." Prapai finally said.

"Then you're more pathetic than I thought."

"How could you say this? Didn't we make it official in my room?" Prapai asked desperately.

"Then we're over. Though I've never started anything with you anyway." Sky said before hanging up.

After he hung up, he placed his phone on the table and just stared at it. Sky didn't know if he wanted Prapai to call back and keep fighting for him or if he wanted to be done with everything that had to do with Prapai.

"Sky, are you okay?" Sig asked from beside him.

"What do you think?" Sky answered sullenly.

"I thought you were going to cry, but you didn't."

Sky took a deep breath before saying "Thank you for letting me stay at your place these past few weeks."

"Yeah. No problem. It's just... I don't get it. Everyone can see how much Prapai loves you. Even Rain. And you know that boy can't see the truth even if it were to come and smack on the nose."  Sig said.

Sky remained silent and lost in thought. He thought P'Gun had loved him too, though that ended in tragedy. Sky felt he should have guarded himself better against people like P'Gun and Prapai.

"So can you tell me why you did all of this? I mean, you moved out of your studio into mine, made Rain and I swear to secrecy, and broke up with him. It just seems like a lot." Sig said.

"Prapai doesn't love me. He just finds me unusual."

    "Are you sure-"

"Thanks for letting me stay here for so long. I'll make the first payment on my new place tomorrow and move out then." Sky interrupted Sig.

Sig sighed before getting up. As he walked past Sky, he stopped to place a hand on Sky's shoulder.

"If he's really as you say, then try to move on. He didn't deserve you anyway. But try not to beat yourself up over this. And it's okay to cry you know. You look like you need to. It might make you feel better. At least for the moment." Sig said before walking away and leaving Sky to his thoughts.
