Y/n gazed out of the window of her bedroom. Her magical relic resting on her bed. Her estate's front yard was a mess from the last fight and the grass as yet to grow back to its original state. Her personal garden bed was unscathed thankfully. Her beautiful black and pinkish red flowers resting to her bright white ones. Their stems slightly differed from one another as the darker flower was much larger and thicker compared to the white ones.

She had just recently planted them. About 4 years ago compared to the black pinkish ones. Its white petals matching with a particular loyal knight of hers. Her love for both of them was incomprehesable, but she never made any promises to Ashe. Would it be right for her to abandon him like that? The way the professor was by her side when she was recovering and when they first saw eachother in the battlefield after five whole years. Her entire being wavered. She was.. confused. Lost.

A knock from the door pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Come in." She said loud enough for them to hear from her seat by the window. The door slowly opened to reveal a white haired fellow who carried a small tray of tea for her. She gave him a smile as the man closed the door behind him and placed the tray on her bed beside her relic.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better now. Thank you Ashe. How about you? I hope the soilders aren't giving you a hard time."

"Not at all. They are doing well. They are excited to see you soon actually." Ashe said, pulling up a chair from the side to sit across from her. He had gaze out the where she was staring at then back at her and gave a sigh.

"Something wrong?" Y/n asked, her attention fully towards the knight as she lifted the teapot and poured both of them a cup. When she was done, Ashe reached out for her hand and held it gently in his.

"Those flowers you love. Do they represent the Professor?" Ashe asked. His eyes fixated on hers. Y/n was shocked at the question, wondering if she should say something. When she didnt answer, Ashe pulled his hand away.

"Don't worry Y/n. I won't be upset. I just wanted to ask you. To make sure."

"Make sure what?"

"If its .. true. Then I won't try to court you. I somewhat had a feeling a few years ago. However, I wanted to hear it from you."

Y/n took a deep breath and placed her hands on her lap.

"To be honest. Ashe. I don't know how I feel. I love the professor and yet. I love you too. You both mean the world to me. I can't hurt you both.." Y/n looked away from Ashe. She couldn't bear to see his face right now.

"Alright. I understand. " Ashe said before sitting up and walking front of her. He gently placed his hand on her cheek and gestured her to look at him.

"It's your life. You choose whom you love and cherish. I want you to know. That you are very important to me and whoever you ever you ever in love with, I will be you knight. Thank you. you will always be my princess." He leaned in until thier noses touched then pulled up slightly to lightly kiss Y/n's forehead. He pulled away and walked towards the door. Before he held the doorknob, he paused and glanced at Y/n for a breif moment.

"Your mother wishes to speak to you. She asked if you can go to her chambers later. Goodnight Y/n" Ashe said before leaving the room, leaving Y/n on her own again.

She had stared at the door for who knows how long. Her mind confuzzled and her heart beating loudly in her ears. She stood up and left the room. Her tea gone cold after the time had passed since the converstation. She went to find her mother. She can help her with her thoughts.
