Pre-wedding Rituals

I wanted to tell you guys that I don't know much about any wedding rituals cause I was that introvert person who used to avoid these ceremonies, so sorry if I don't meet your expectations.

But I tried my best, I hope you will like it.

The Day In Malik House starts with a hustle bustle of everyone working on something, then a guest arrives at the door.

Sm: Namaste Behen ji, boliye kya lengi aap.

Js: ji aaj hum kuch lene nahi dene aaye hai vo bhi haseena ko. Aap bas use jaldi se bula dijiye.

Hm: ji maa aapne bulaya.

Js: haan, ye Sagun ka thaal tere liye laai hun, isme teri shadi ka joda aur saaj sringar ka saman hai jo ek saas apni hone wali bahu ko deti hai rishta jodte waqt, aur shadi mein tu yahi pehena badi pyari lagegi.

Hm: ji jaroor.

Js: acha to ab main chalti hun, behenji kal ayenge hum baarat lekar haseena ko le jaane.

[So I don't know much about any rituals of the wedding so don't expect much from me]

Haldi Ceremony

A beautifully decorated room filled with the fragrance of turmeric and the sounds of laughter. The bride, Haseena, is sitting in the center, wearing a yellow outfit, while Anaya and Santu surround her both holding a bowl of Haldi paste in their hands.

Ar: to haseena kya tu tyaar hai apna yellow makeover karwane ke liye.

Hm: I think so, lekin tu koi aesi wesi harkat to nahi karne wali na.

Ar: tujhe aesa kyu lagta hai ki main ulti sidhi harkat karungi, santu tumhe kya lagta hai ki main koi aesi wesi harkat kar sakti hu.

Ss: bilkul bhi nahi.

M: anaya didi nahi karengi lekin mai to karungi, didi aap tyaar ho jao haldi se nahane ke liye.

Hm: Mansi tum kabse aaru ki baato mein aane lagi.

Ar: haseena tu chinta mat kar, main teri twacha itni ache se chamka dungi ki tujhe highlighter ki bhi jarurat nahi padegi.

Now the trio start applying haldi on her cheeks.

M: anaya di dekho na, mujhe kam lag raha hai di ki is waali cheeks par.

And they applied more haldi.

Ar: tujhe pata hai haldi lagane se na skin glow karti hai.

Ss: haa bhabhi aur hum aapki skin ko itna glow denge ki duniya ki saari dulhan aapke saamne feeki pad jayengi.

Ar(Whispering to haseena): tujhe pata hai haseena maine suna hai ki jitna gada haldi ka rang chadta hai utna gehra rishta hota hai aur main chachti hun ki tere aur jiju ka rishta itna pakka ho ki kabhi koi alag na kar paye.

Hm: agar aesa hai to laga de phir.

They start putting Haldi on haseena's arms and hands.

As they continue teasing and applying Haldi, haseena's laughter fills the room. The Haldi ceremony becomes a fun and memorable moment of bonding for the haseena and her mischievous friend like sister aka bridesmaid.

Ar(winking at Mansi): bas ek last chiz ki kami hai, aur vo hai ek mukut ki, I mean crown kyuki haseena is the queen of our kingdom.

And Mansi brings a crown which is made up of haldi, putting the crown on her head.

M(bowing down): at your service your highness.

Sm:bahut pareshan kar liya meri beti ko ab jaa haseena jaa kar naha le.

They all burst into laughter, and the room is filled with joy as they complete the Haldi ceremony, creating lasting memories for Haseena.

Mehendi ceremony

A beautifully decorated room with intricate Mehendi designs adorning the walls. The bride Haseena sits in the center, her hands outstretched, ready for her Mehendi application.

Hm: ammi aapko kya lagta hai humari mehendi sundar to lagegi na.

Sm:teri mehndi sirf sundar nahi balki bahut sundar hogi kyuki ye tere aur Anubhav ki prem kahani ko jo darsha raha hai aur yeh mehendi maine khud apne haathon se pisi hai tere liye, mehendi ka ek ek patta main chun kar laayi thi.

Ar: aur agar sundar nahi bhi hui to hum mehndi artist ko blame kar denge.

The bridesmaids chuckle as the Mehendi artist starts working on Priya's intricate designs.

M: di mujhe anaya di ne bataya ki jiju  aapko jitna pyaar karte honge aapki mehndi ka colour utna dark hoga.

Ss: haan main to sure hu ki bhabhi ka mehendi ka colour sabse jyada dark hoga.

Ar: aur agar dark nahi bhi hua to hum haseena ke chehre par aesi smile layenge jisse jiju ka dil pakka aa Jayega humari haseena par.

As the Mehendi application begins, the room is filled with the soothing scent of henna.

Hm: ammi aaj is mehendi ceremony mein aapko mere sath yaha baithe dekh kar bahut acha lag raha hai, main bahut khush hun ki jaisi ammi hume mili.

Sm: mujhe to tujhse bhi jyada Khushi ho rahi hai tujh jaisi beti ko paakar. Aaj mera dil maano khushi se jhoom utha ho.

M: oh, what an emotional moment, kisi ke pass tissue hai to jaldi lao warna anshu nikal jayenge mere to.

Hm: MANSI!! Tum aaru se door raho thoda, do din bhi nahi hue hai sath me aur uski tarah bante jaa rahi ho.

Ar: ye to nakli anshu hai haseena, kal dekhna emotional moment bhi real honge aur anshu bhi.

Laughter fills the room as Haseena's hands are adorned with beautiful Mehendi designs.

Ss: bhabhi ab to aap dulhan banne ke aur kareeb aa rahi hai dekhiye aapki mehendi bhi puri ho gayi hai.

Ar: kitni beautiful lag rahi hai na, yeh design dekhkar aesa lag raha ye khud tum dono ki kahani batane ko betaab ho.

M: ab to didi ke haath mein mehendi lag gayi hai to didi khana kaise khayengi.

Sm: khana khilane ke liye mai hun, aur iska baaki ka kaam to tum sab ko karna padega.

Ar: ammi aapko ye batane ki jarurat hi nahi thi main hun na iski personal assistant vo bhi free of cost  iska saara kaam main dekh lungi, iska phone iska makeup sab kuch.

Everyone shares a hearty laugh, and the room is filled with warmth and joy, sealing the emotional and joyous Mehendi ceremony with love and togetherness, setting the tone for the upcoming wedding day.
