The air was thick with tension, each breath suffocating under the weight of impending chaos. Blakewood's wicked smile hung in the dim light, her aura a storm of malevolence. Gray strained against Mystogan's iron grip, his face turning crimson as the pressure tightened around his throat.
"Don't, Juvia!" Gray's voice rasped out, but it was barely more than a strangled breath. Mystogan's hold on him intensified, his grip unrelenting.
Juvia, tears welling in her eyes, stood frozen, clutching the necklace. Her hands trembled as she looked between Gray and Elaine, her heart tearing apart in a vice of guilt. The weight of the situation was too much, and yet there she stood, the one holding the key.

Elaine stood off to the side, her heart pounding in her chest, desperate but trapped in her indecision. Her fingers twitched, aching to act, but Gray's struggling form held her paralyzed. If Juvia didn't give her necklace away, Gray might die, but if she did, who knew what Blakewood was capable of?
Blakewood's high-pitched laughter shattered the stillness. "Quite the spectacle," she sneered, her words dripping with venom. "But I really should be going. So much to do, so little time." She extended her hand, her fingers beckoning. "Now, give me the necklace, and I'll let your precious Gray go."
Elaine's body tensed, every muscle coiled and ready to spring into action, but the sight of Gray gasping for air held her back. Juvia's hand hovered, and Elaine silently willed her not to do it, to resist. But then, with a resigned look, Juvia placed the necklace into Blakewood's outstretched palm.
"Such a good friend." Blakewood mocked, her smile widening with cruel amusement.

The moment the necklace left Juvia's fingers, Mystogan threw Gray aside like he was nothing. He crumpled to the floor, clutching his throat, gasping for breath.
"Gray-sama!!" Juvia dropped to his side, her hands hovering over him, helpless as Gray rasped out broken breaths.
Blakewood examined the necklace with a twisted smile, slipping it around her neck. But after a moment, her grin faltered, then faded entirely.
