"Morning, Elaine!" Lucy and Natsu greeted me in unison as I stepped into the Guild.
"Hey, Elaine!" Happy zipped toward me, practically throwing himself into a hug. His little arms barely wrapped around my waist, but the enthusiasm was undeniable.
I smiled and patted his head. "Hello to you too, little guy."
"You got-?"
"Yup!" I cut him off with a grin, pulling out a newspaper-wrapped fish from my bag. Happy snatched it up instantly, eyes gleaming with joy.
"YAY!" He flew off, his little wings flapping wildly as he zoomed over to Natsu.
"Hey, Salamander!" Gajeel's rough voice cut through the noise, and I looked over to see him standing behind Natsu, a smug look on his face.
"What do you want, Ironhead?" Natsu looked insulted, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest.
"We've got a fight to settle," Gajeel said, baring his sharp teeth in what I assumed was a challenge. "You still owe me from last time."
"A fight, huh?" Natsu's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, excitement radiating from him. "I don't remember, but I'm always up for it!"
"Hey, no fighting!" Levy's voice rang out as she stomped over, shooting Gajeel a disapproving glare. "Didn't you hear what Erza said?"
Clearly, Gajeel wasn't listening—or just didn't care—because the two of them were already locking arms for an impromptu arm-wrestling match. The whole Guild buzzed with energy, like this was just another normal morning.
"Always some kind of brawl going on," Levy muttered, sitting down at our table with a frustrated sigh. "Gods, he gets on my nerves."
Cana, already a few drinks in, hiccupped and grinned slyly. "What else does he get on, hmm?"
Levy's face flushed a deep red, and she shot Cana a mortified look. "W-what?! Cana!" She whispered furiously, clearly embarrassed.
