Call To Me

Ch. 2

Just after they arrive at the cabin, the two siblings got out. It was freezing as heck. Sonic held himself as he said, "Brrr! It's freezing like hell out here."

Sonia replied to him as she got the groceries, "Your telling me. It's like walking into a freezer."

Then Sonia said as she carried a few of the bags, "You go get our luggage, I'll carry the groceries inside."

That's when Sonia got out the key underneath the mat and unlocked the house.

She felt a hand on her shoulder. It was cold and icy. She gasped and sees no one.

Sonic 'sees his sisters frightened expression as she breaths' asked as he got Sonia's luggage, "You okay Sonia?"

Sonia then asked her brother, "Did you touch my shoulder?" Sonic answered in confusion, "I wasn't anywhere near you. I'm still getting our luggage."

Sonia thought to herself as she opened the door, "Wait, if Sonic didn't touch my shoulder then who did?"

She turned on the lights and walked in. The cabin on the inside was absolutely lovely. It was one of those two bedroom cabins with a kitchen, living room, dinning room, and bathroom. It even has an electrical heater in the living room.

Sonia placed the groceries in the kitchen. She said to herself, "This cabin is really nice." She then walked outside to get the rest.

Meanwhile with Sonic, he was getting their luggage but that's when he noticed something in the Misty snow.

He squinted cause he coulda sworn he was looking at a pair of lavender colored eyes.

He gasped as he felt a hand on his shoulder and a familiar voice saying, "Sonic!"

He turn to see his sister 'Sonia' and said, "Oh sis. Don't scare me like that."

Sonia asked, "Are you okay little brother? What's wrong?"

Sonic answered her in a nervous tone, "I felt like someone was looking at me."

Sonia raised a brow before looking at the horizon and shouted, "HELLO!!!"

Her voice echoed. Then she got a few more bags of groceries and said as Sonic got his luggage, "Sonic, let's get everything inside and stay inside. I dunno about you. But I feel nervous out here."

Without hesitation, Sonic uses his speed to get his and Sonia's luggage into their rooms. Then helped Sonia get the rest of the groceries.

After they finished getting their luggage and the groceries inside. Sonic closed the trunk, close the doors of the car, he and Sonia walked inside and shut the door.

Once inside, Sonic closed the curtains of the window as Sonia locked the door. Sonic sat down on the couch as Sonia turned up the heat on the electrical heater.

Sonic sighed deeply and said, "How ironic? We only been here for about almost 8 minutes and already things are giving us the creeps."

Sonia then assumed, "It was probably a bunch of amateur kids trying to scare us." Sonic then said as he turned on the Tv, "At this hour? Sis I dunno if we are imagining things or what. But there is definitely something out there."

Sonia then said as she took a deep breath, "Look little brother, how about I start the hot cocoa? I got marshmallows."

Sonic smiled before he said, "You know? I think this is going to be a great brother and sister vacation."

Sonia then replied as she got started, "Sure will be."

Sonic continue watching Tv 'which was actually on a thriller movie' but he can't shake the feeling or that voice in his head.

Sonia waited for the cocoa to be ready while watching with his brother from the kitchen.

That's when the movie got interrupted by the weather channel as the newscaster said, "We interrupted this program to give you this update. The snow is dying down and it will be gone by morning once the sun rises. No one knows about this sudden chilling weather change but hopefully by tomorrow there will be sunny skies ahead."

Then the movie resumed as Sonic and Sonia looked at each other as the cocoa was finished.

That's when Sonia got out two mugs out and poured the cocoa with a little whip-cream and marshmallows.

Sonia brought the mugs as they resumed watching Tv.
