Ch. 4

In the morning, the rays of the sunlight peeped out in the curtains.

Sonic wakes up and groaned when he felt his neck. Sonic said as got up, "Ugh! My neck."

When he got to the bathroom, he washed his face and looked at himself in the mirror. He failed to see two teeth marks on his neck.

Sonic got downstairs and sees his sister on the couch.

He thought to himself, "Someone must've had a movie night."

Sonia got up and asked as she felt her neck, "Morning little brother. Say did you cover me this morning?"

Sonic answered, "No I just got up." Sonia was confused and said, "Well someone did."

That's when Sonic looks at the blanket in suspicion. He could swear he never seen this blanket before. It was majestic and beautiful. But a real bile-like scent caught his nose.

Sonic asked, "Sis? Where did this come from?"

Sonia answered as they looked at the blanket, "I don't know and I don't remember bringing this."

Sonic then thought about it and said, "Let's try to go to the bed and breakfast."

The two agreed as they got dressed and walked out. The snow was already started melt.

That's when they got into the car and drove to the bed and breakfast.

<a short while later>

Once they arrive at the bed and breakfast. Sonia felt her neck and asked, "Hey Sonic, do you have a pain in your neck?"

Sonic answered, "Yes, do you?" Sonia nodded as she revealed two small bite marks on her neck. Sonics eyes widened before they got out and entered the bed and breakfast.

Once they entered the service seems friendly. One of the weasels whispered to a waitress, "Ain't those the folks that are staying in the cabin in Violet-Lily Forest?"

The waitress whispered back, "Yeah, I can tell them are brother and sister."

Sonia said to the waitress at the counter, "Table for two please." The waitress replied, "Follow me."

That's what they do. They gotta table near the window as they sit down. Sonic asked his sister, "So sis, found yourself a man yet?" Sonia shook her head and said, "Not quiet. What about you? I don't see you seducing Amy."

Sonic answered, "I told you a few weeks ago that I like boys sis. You should know that."

Sonia 'realizing it' said, "Oh right." Then a lemur 'that looked like Tangle The Lemur but turquoise colored fur' asked, "Hey, are the two that are staying at the cabin at Purple-Lily Forest."

Sonic and Sonia looked at each other before Sonic answered, "Well yes. Why? Wait, you look like someone I know, Tangle The Lemur."

The lemur said as she was surprised, "You know Tangle? She's my cousin."

Sonia answered, "I see. Well my names Sonia and this is younger twin brother 'Maurice' but we all call him Sonic."

The lemur then said, "I'm Valiant. It's nice to meet you."

Sonic then asked, "Say Valiant, why did you ask about the forest?" Valiant answered uneasily, "Well? People are talking about it last night. Did you move here?"

Sonia answered her, "No, me and my brother are on vacation. Why?"

Valiant then said, "Well, people are too scared to go near those woods. Due to the story of those woods."

Sonia and Sonic asked, "What story?" Valiant answered them, "The legend of Purple-Lily Forest."

They were confused at first until one of the waitresses said, "About 700 years ago when this small town was found a couple of guys were venturing out in Purple-Lily Forest. But they never returned alive."

That's when Valiant finished the story, "The two adventures stumbled upon a cave of vampire bats one that looked unusual. They were both found dead with blood drained from their bodies. By the time paramedics arrived they disappeared."

That's when the weasel from earlier said, "They say the two adventurers haunt those woods as an ill omen. Believe me. You are not the first. Before you both a couple rented the cabin for their honeymoon. Both of them were reported killed."

Sonic and Sonia looked at each other in fright. Then the waitress said as Valiant and the weasel walked off, "Anyways what can I get you two?" Sonic answered, "How about the breakfast 3 special for me and my big sis?"

The waitress answered, "Coming right up. I'll get you both some coffee too." The waitress walked off as Sonia sighed deeply and she said as she stood up, "I'm gonna go to the restroom Sonic."

Sonic nodded as Sonia walked off to the bathroom. The pink hedgehog was only 5 steps from the bathroom before she tripped and was gonna fall. But that's when an arm caught her.

A male voice said kindly, "You should be more careful there young lady."

Sonia felt like she was helped up before finding herself looking into a pair of red ruby eyes. Sonia looks at a black hedgehog in a dark red hood.

Sonia then said to the stranger, "Th-thank you." Her heart beats as she stares at the black hedgehog. It was no doubt a boy. She felt paralyzed.

The black hedgehog asked, "Feeling alright there miss?"

Sonia answered, "Oh, yes I'm okay. I-I'm terribly sorry about that..."

That's when the black hedgehog said, "No need to apologize young miss. Besides I don't see any pretty girls like you around here."

Sonia blushed as she said, "Umm. Thanks." She walks off as the black hedgehog smile and whispered in a really spine chilling voice, "My, my. I picked myself a cute one."
