Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa were eating lunch together. The lunch for today was samgyeopsal and miso soup.
Lisa swallowed her ssam and looked at Jennie.
Jennie looked up from her plate.
"What are you looking at?"
Lisa squished Jennie's cheeks.
"Eeek, your cheeks are so... dumpling-like!"
Jennie slapped Lisa's hand away and jokingly rolled her eyes at Lisa.
Rosé suddenly cleared her voice, as if she was about to speak.
All the girls around the table quietened and looked at her.
Rosé looked directly at Jennie.
"Are you and Taehyung friends?"
Jennie almost choked on her pork ribs.
"Well, yeah," she answered after having drank some water.
Jisoo sighed.
"Rosé, it's nothing."
Jennie confusingly looked at Jisoo.
Lisa spoke up.
"Jen, you never interact with boys, Rosie is just a bit worried that you'll fall in love and that you'll get hurt with your first love, that's all."
Jennie laughed.
"Awe, Rosie! You're so cute for worrying, but this is the dude's first day, of course I haven't fallen for him!"
Rosé didn't look too convinced.
Jennie patted her on the shoulder.
"I promise, I don't feel that way for him, we're great friends," Jennie reassured her.
Finally, Rosé smiled.
"It's okay if you fall in love with him, later on... just, be careful with boys!"
Jennie shook her head in disapproval.
"The Jennie Kim never falls in love with boys because boys are the ones that fall for her!"
"Of course," Jisoo muttered.
"Anyways, girls, what class have we got next?" Lisa asked.
Rosé took the schedule from her pocket, it looked wrinkled and the paper had gotten ripped in the corners.
"Uh... we've got physical education!"
Jisoo and Jennie groaned.
Lisa sighed.
"You two are too lazy! Just think about it on the bright side, since it's P.E, we will be able to finish school earlier, that means we finish at 2:00 PM!"
Jennie shook her head.
"It's not that, I just hate having P.E after having eaten good food."
Jisoo nodded in approval.
Rosé was on her 15th ssam.
"It's just ssam! Pork ribs in lettuce with sauce and side dishes!"
"Pork ribs are fatty," Jennie argued against her.
"You could've gotten beef intestines," Rosé said.
"They didn't have that on the menu, I asked", Jennie hit back.
"Then, you could've just not eaten."
"I'm not going to starve until dinner time."
"What about detox juices? Could've had that."
"Not filling enough, I'm not on a diet anymore."
"Then, don't complain and just enjoy the food!"
Jisoo put a lettuce in Rosé's mouth to make her shut up.
"Goodness, imagine arguing about the school lunch!"
The friend group was now in the P.E hall. Jennie and Rosé had forgotten about the argument earlier and were playing badminton together.
Lisa looked shocked.
"I thought Jennie was going to play with me!"
Jisoo hugged Lisa from the back.
"You got me," Jisoo said.
Lisa smirked.
"Of course I do, unnie," Lisa patted Jisoo's hand.
All the girls were squealing as soon Taehyung entered the hall, he looked so handsome with his sport jacket and training pants.
Rosé rolled her eyes at the girls.
"You've got no chance when Jennie Kim is in this school," she muttered.
Tzuyu shyly walked up to Taehyung.
"O-oppa, can you play badminton with me?"
Taehyung gave her a smile, but slowly shook his head.
"Sorry, Tzuyu, another time, though!"
Sana ran up to Taehyung and looked jealous, she pulled Tzuyu away.
Taehyung had become good friends with Namjoon.
"Sorry, man, but I'm with Jin," Namjoon said.
Taehyung shook his head.
"No, don't worry, it's alright."
"Who are you going to play with?" Namjoon looked puzzled.
Taehyung smirked.
"I've got a lady in mind."
He walked away from Namjoon and went to Jennie and Rosé's badminton plan.
"Hey, Rosé, mind if I steal your girl for a minute?"
Rosé smiled.
"Oh, not at all, good luck!"
She walked away to Jisoo and Lisa.
Taehyung and Jennie were now alone on the plan.
"Hey, Jen, mind if we play a game?"
Jennie smirked.
"Get ready to lose, Kim Taehyung."
They immediately started playing, the two were really good at playing badminton and now the whole class was watching.
After 20 minutes, Jennie won the game.
Taehyung took off his sport jacket and threw it to Namjoon.
"Good game, miss Jennie."
"Why thank you, Mr!" Jennie responded with a chuckle.
Taehyung walked over to Jennie's side and went close up to her.
In her ear, he whispered:
"Don't forget the biology presentation, let's see who gets the better grade."
Jennie pushed him away, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Tae, accept the truth. We know who's got the best grade."
"Yeah, we do. It's me."
"Wouldn't think so, but we'll see."
Taehyung took Jennie's hand away from his shoulder, but held it for a little while.
Jennie looked at him with a smirk.
"Trying to get some of the IQ I got?"
Taehyung let go and exited the hall with a wink at Jennie.
Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa ran up to Jennie.
"What the hell was that!" Lisa burst out.
"You said you wouldn't fall in love because this was his first day!" Rosé exclaimed.
Jennie laughed.
"It's not love, it's friendship, babes."
Jisoo intertwined her fingers with Jennie's.
"Good luck, Jendeuk."
