Chapter 36

Jennie took Taehyung to the nurse's office, she entered it with him and the nurse wasn't there, she sighed and looked at Taehyung.

"Well, I'll treat you myself, then," Jennie said.

"So, you're not just a good student, you're also a good girlfriend," Taehyung said, with a smirk.

"Oh, shut up," Jennie said, her cheeks having a slight pink shade.

Taehyung doesn't say anything to that, in stead he just looks down on the floor, still smiling to himself.

Jennie takes an ice pack, because that's what she has seen school nurses use when someone has a bruised face.

A bruised face isn't just what Taehyung got from the fight, Kai had been quite aggressive and he had also given him a bloody nose, well, it wasn't a match for Jennie, she'll treat him.

Jennie walks up to Taehyung with an ice pack and a tissue in her hand, then she kneels down and looks at him, saying with a soft tone:

"Look at me."

Taehyung looks up at her, now, Jennie sees how much Kai has hurt him. Oh, Lord, she hadn't known that the boy she had used to like was a total maniac.

"Well, you're all messed up," Jennie says.

"Yeah, but I'm fine with it, because that fight was for you, love," Taehyung responds.

"Yuck, that was really corny," Jennie says, but she can't hide her amusement.

"Don't be so disgusted, a lot of boys fight over you in this school," Taehyung says, sarcasm in his tone.

"Very funny!" Jennie lets out a soft chuckle.

Before Taehyung says anything else, Jennie starts putting the ice pack on the parts of his face that are bruised.

"Ooh, that's cold!" Taehyung pouts.

"Well, the consequences of fighting: a VERYYY cold ice pack!" Jennie responds, not caring about his shivers, after all, Taehyung did overexaggerate things. It couldn't be that cold, it's not like he was living on the North Pole.

"I'll only fight again if you'll be the one treating my wounds," Taehyung winks at Jennie flirtatiously.

Jennie lets out another chuckle, but shakes her head in disbelief.

"You're not going to be fighting with anyone again, not under my watch," Jennie says, with a serious tone.

"How cute of you to be so protective," Taehyung says.

Jennie shakes her head, once again, and now she starts wiping away the blood from his nose.

"You should be a nurse, you've already got good grades in biology and math, so it's a good start," Taehyung tells Jennie.

"I'm flattered," Jennie says.

"You should be."

"Okay, there we go. The bruises won't go away for a while, but you're still handsome so not that it really matters!"

"Damn, babe. That's a good compliment!"

"I know."

"Well, I do agree that I am handsome, no matter if my face is bruised or not, I'll still be the most handsome boy in school."

"Most... handsome?"

"Yeah, I won your heart, Jennie, therefore, I am the most handsome dude in this school!"

"I guess you've got a point."

Then, Jennie gets a message from Jisoo. 

"Ah, so Jisoo found out who was behind this plan. It was... obviously Kai! But, there was also some other girls who were paid to be a part of this plan."

Taehyung raises an eyebrow,

"And? What will we do about him now?"

"Don't worry. Me and the girls will deal with him, you just stay out of this all and you'll see how Kai will never dare to come between us again."

"Ah, alright. I'll trust you, firstly, because you're my girlfriend, and secondly, because you're a very smart girl."

"Good of you to trust me, because you won't regret it..."
