"Wow, this restaurant looks really funny," Jennie stated.
"Indeed," Taehyung agreed.
On the head of the restaurant, there was a green alien with one big eye and next to it, there was a spaceship.
"Well, at least, the food isn't funny," Jennie said.
Taehyung agreed on that too.
"So, should we order something to eat?"
"Yeah, of course!"
They entered the restaurant and it was bigger on the inside, the two friends hadn't expected that because it was just formed as an oval on the outside.
"Ooh, it's really warm in here!" Jennie said.
They took a seat next to the window, all of the windows were circle shaped and next to every table near the windows, there were 2 windows.
"The owner must really like circles and ovals," Taehyung said.
"Yeah!"
As they sat down a waiter, Taehyung's brother, came towards them. He had a smile on his face.
"Are you ready to order?" he asked.
"Mm...," Jennie checked the menu.
"I'll have a cheese pizza," she decided.
"Tae?" he turned around to Taehyung.
"A chicken burger," Taehyung ordered.
Taehyung's brother nodded and scribbled their orders in his notebook, then gave them a last smile and went to the kitchen.
Jennie looked at Taehyung,
"I'm so happy you fixed free dinner for us," she said.
Taehyung returned the smile,
"Of course, it was my brother's idea, after all!"
"Wow, he's really nice," Jennie said and looked at the kitchen, where the brother had just entered.
Taehyung felt a sting of jealousy, but cleared his voice and tried to think about something to say.
Should he just admit that he has feelings for her? The worst that could happen was that she either stood up and left or that she simply said she didn't feel the same.
"Jennie?" Taehyung started.
Now, finally Jennie's eyes met Taehyung's.
"Yes?"
"Well... I..."
Taehyung didn't have the chance to finish, because as soon as he was about to complete the sentence, a waitress came with two plates.
"There you go! Since you two are special guests, we've also fixed dessert for you. A donut each, enjoy your meal. Drinks are close to the entrance."
"Thank you," Taehyung said, although he was a bit disappointed, because she had chosen the worst time to come with their food.
As the waitress walked away, Jennie looked at Taehyung again.
"What did you want to tell me?" she asked.
"Nothing, I forgot, I'll go and get us drinks," he answered.
After Taehyung had stood up and left to get drinks, Jennie thought that he had acted a bit weird. Usually, he would speak slowly but he had answered really fast. Maybe, Taehyung had gotten interested by the waitress or maybe she wasn't funny or interesting enough.
All these thoughts were taking over her mind for a moment, but then Taehyung came back with a smile on his face.
"I got us both Pepsi," Taehyung said.
"Great," Jennie said.
Wouldn't it be better if Jennie just told Taehyung that she has feelings for him? Then, she'd know if Taehyung returned those feelings or if he just saw her as a friend.
Jennie took a deep breath, then started,
"Taehyung?"
"What is it?"
"Okay, so I really..."
As she was about to finish, Taehyung's brother came to their table, asking if they were enjoying the food.
"Oh, yes, you've always been a good cook," Taehyung told him.
His brother smiled and then left the table to go to the other costumers.
"Anyways, Jen, sorry 'bout that, what did you want to say?"
"Oh, right. I really like this pizza and wanted to ask for the recipe, maybe you can ask your brother?" she quickly made up.
Taehyung smiled and nodded,
"Certainly, he'd be delighted to hear that you're enjoying his food."
Jennie nodded and forced a smile.
I'd also be very delighted if I wasn't interrupted by your brother, she then thought to herself.
