Chapter 30

It was as if everything had stopped, the time, the atoms and the breathes of everyone in the library.

Taehyung's words had shocked Jennie.

"Your... feelings... for me? Do you not like me anymore?"

Taehyung shook his head,

"No, Jen. That's not what I mean."

"Wait, do you mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but do you have a crush on... me?"

"I know you're not willing to date anyone after what happened with Kai, but still... it doesn't feel good to have feelings for my friend."

"Taehyung. I don't care about Kai."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you said it first. This time, you won."

"What?"

"I like you too."

"For real?"

"Of course I'm for real!"

"But, I thought you were sad about Kai!"

"Fuck him."

Taehyung was taken aback by Jennie's response.

"So, you want to be my... girlfriend?"

"I've wanted to be your girlfriend for some weeks now," Jennie responded.

"You're not joking, right now? Just to make fun of me, or something like that? Right?"

"Goddamn it Taehyung! Of course I'm not joking around!"

"Alright, alright. Are we dating now?"

"As of today, yes. We are now officially a couple!"

Taehyung laughed.

"What are you laughing at?" Jennie asked.

"It just sounded really funny, sorry. In the dramas I've watched, couples don't end up together like this."

"Did you expect me to want to have fought with you, but then I run away and you grab my wrist, pulling me into a kiss?"

"I guess. Something like that, probably."

Now, it was Jennie's turn to laugh.

"Sometimes, you're an idiot, Taehyung."

"Ouch, Jen! We've just started dating, but the first thing you do is to call your boyfriend an idiot."

"Don't be offended!"

"How can I not? My girlfriend just called me... an idiot!"

The librarian came up to them again.

"This is the last warning. One more word, I'm kicking you two out!"

Without letting them apologize, she turned around and left with definite steps.

"Oh, damn. She's not someone to mess around with," Taehyung pointed out.

"Alright. Let's get out of here before she kicks our butts!"

"Where do you want to go?"

"Well, we can't eat dinner together, since mom's made food at home, but we can go sing karaoke, I've found the karaoke place they were at in True Beauty, you know the drama, right?"

"Of course I do, it's been everywhere."

"Alright, let's buy some bus tickets to Hongdae. I'll pay for them, but you'll pay for the karaoke session!"

"Wow, you only have to pay, like what, 15000 won and I'll have to pay 40000 won?"

"You're the man in this relationship."

The couple started packing their stuff up, getting ready to leave.

"That librarian will definitely be really happy, once we leave," Jennie stated.

Taehyung agreed.

"But, a karaoke session is better than working here, in this library," Taehyung said.

"Exactly!"

Taehyung grabbed Jennie's hand, a move that startled her a bit, but she was okay with it. They were dating! There was nothing to be ashamed of.

The two exited the library, walking towards the bus stop.

Jennie thought to herself, that the cold wasn't affecting her, it felt as if Taehyung's touch made her body feel warmer.

She was happy to have found someone to love.
