Science lesson was over, Jennie remembered the note. She waited for Lisa, they were going to go to the rooftop because Lisa had something to tell her!

Jennie looked at Lisa, but Lisa looked a bit confused.

Jungkook gave a pat on her shoulder and winked, that seemed to make Lisa understand that she should just play along. Her face expression didn't change that much, she didn't want Jennie to suspect anything.

"So, Lili, are we gonna go to the rooftop now?" Jennie asked.

Lisa took a deep breath in, what was she supposed to say?

She pretended to not have heard Jennie, and went to grab her books that she had forgotten. Fortunately, she heard Taehyung and Jungkook talking,

"Oh, yeah! Well, Hyung, I just gotta use the bathroom but you can go to the rooftop. I'll be there in a sec, you can wait there!"

"Are you sure you don't want me to wait for you instead?"

Jungkook shook his head.

"Oh, no. Just wait at the rooftop for me! Okay?"

Now, Lisa fully understood the plan. How could she have such a smart and hot boyfriend?

Lisa returned to Jennie, and of course, Jennie repeated her question once again, but now, Lisa knew what to answer!

"Oh, Jen! Yeah, I did want to talk to you at the rooftop, but I just have to ask Ms. Evans a question, it won't take long, okay? You can wait for me there, at the rooftop."

Unlike Taehyung, Jennie immediately agreed and went to the rooftop. She looked really excited but also worried at the same time.

When Taehyung also had left the classroom, Lisa and Jungkook walked up to each other and started laughing.

"Wow, babe. It really worked!" Lisa was really impressed about Jungkook's idea.

Jungkook only laughed and shrugged.

"Well, I'm both smart and hot. I got a 96 on the test!"

Lisa patted Jungkook on the head and smiled.

"Wow, I'm so proud of my cute bunny boyfriend!"

That made Jungkook blush a little, but then he spoke up,

"Well, while the other two future lovers are speaking at the rooftop, should we go and get a French toast from the cafeteria?"

Lisa nodded and the couple ran out of the classroom, Ms. Evans chuckled and mumbled "high school sweethearts".

Jennie was waiting at the rooftop for Lisa, it was starting to get cold and you could feel the breezy wind coming.

As she was just about to pick up her phone and call Lisa, the door to the rooftop opened.

"Finally, Lili! You took such a long time that-"

The person who entered was not Lisa. It was Taehyung.

Jennie had to try to not let out a huge gasp. She had not expected Taehyung to come up here!

Taehyung also looked shocked.

"Where is Jungkook?" he asked.

"He's not here, I'm waiting for Lisa!" Jennie answered.

Taehyung sighed and turned around to leave, but as he was about to leave the wind slammed the rooftop door shut.

He tried to open it but it seemed as if someone had locked the door from the other side. Weird, he thought to himself, nobody had been there.

Jennie sat down on the hard floor, she wished she hadn't. Her buttocks were freezing, the floor felt like ice, making her shiver.

Taehyung looked at Jennie, then he knew that he had no choice. He just had to stay here with Jennie until someone noticed that the rooftop door had been locked.

He sighed quietly and went to sit next to Jennie. He also felt the coldness from the floor, it gave him goosebumps on the arms, why did the teachers give the boys short armed shirts for their uniforms?

The two sat quiet for at least 15 minutes, time was passing by slowly. As time went, Jennie started getting more and more tired and anxious.

She tried to start a conversation with Taehyung.

"So...," Taehyung looked up at her when she started to speak. "Did you also get a note that one of your friends would be coming here to talk?"

Taehyung smiled and nodded, that was the first smile Jennie had received from him in days.

"Jungkook. It was Jungkook who gave me the note," Taehyung told her.

Jennie sat quiet for a minute, then she remembered. She should apologize to him, he had been looking really sad ever since their conflict.

"Listen, Taehyung. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for getting mad at you, I should've been grateful that you tried to defend me."

Taehyung nodded. Jennie wished he would've said something.

"It's okay, Jen. I understand," was all he said afterwards.

Jennie cleared her voice, he had called her Jen! That was a good sign!

"So... Tae, are we friends... again?"

"We were never not friends, Jen. We just took a break from our friendship," Taehyung answered. That was a great answer, Jennie thought to herself.

Now, Jennie felt how Taehyung's words had filled her body with warmth and joy. She could stay here in this rooftop, even if it was as cold as in the North Pole, the presence of Taehyung made her feel warm and comfortable.

Even, Taehyung felt the same way, too. He noticed that he no longer had goosebumps and his arms were warm, it was as if autumn and winter had passed by and the spring had come.

Jennie put an arm around Taehyung's shoulder. He accepted the affection and didn't shiver or anything like that.

Now, it also felt like the wind calmed down a bit. The rooftop door opened slowly. Taehyung stared at it.

"Was it fate that it got locked like that? Just to make us make up for the argument we've had?"

Jennie laughed.

"Probably."
