“Dad, where are we?”
Curtis looked down at young Alarick, “stay here. Mum will come and get you,” he smiled at young Alarick.
He frowned at his father, “but mum ran away. She can’t come back again, she said so, dad.”
Curtis let out a nervous laugh and muttered, “Why are you so smart?”
“I took it from mum.”
Curtis looked down at young Alarick and laughed nervously again, “just stay here and wait for me. I need to meet someone.”
Curtis turned to leave but young Alarick held his hand, “dad, let me follow you.”
“No,” Curtis rejected instantly, he bent down and ruffled young Alarick’s black hair. He smiled once again yet his eyes were sad and then, he scurried away.
Young Alarick looked at his father retreating figure yet did not say anything.

Alarick turned his back at Minister Curtis, “what do you want? I thought we were strangers.”
Curtis took a step toward Alarick, “I know what I did was unforgiveable but I did it because I didn’t want you to suffer with me. I know this is just an excuse to you but actually, son.”
Alarick span towards him, “are you suffering now?!” He asked. He gritted his teeth, “are you suffering now? Are you?” He chuckled dryly as Curtis couldn’t answer, “I said so. You aren’t,” and then, he hissed in exhaustion, “you know what? Just do it. Let's continue being the strangers we are. It is good for me and so is for you, Sir.” Alarick sized him and saluted, “then, I'll leave sir.” He turned around to leave.
“You know, I came.” Curtis stopped him, “I came to the orphanage. But... I was late, you were adopted.”
Alarick bit his lower lips and then, he looked back, “then why didn’t you find me? Why didn’t you do something and look for me?”
“I-I was running for the states. I wanted to gain money before-”
“Stop.” Alarick shook his head in defeat, “just stop right there. There is no use of this conversation. Let's stop it. I'm leaving,” he turned away and strode to the door, he held the door knob.
“I want to help you. I will help you.”
Alarick looked back at him, “it's your job. Do your job. Maybe this time, at least just once, you will do one good thing in my life, sir,” he saluted at him and walked out of the room.

The bus stopped at the building. Tyler pushed the door opened, he peeped his head out and smiled at them, “girls. Enter.”
There were six ladies standing outside the building, they smiled and climbed into the car. Tyler pulled the door and he closed the door. And the bus drove away.
