She jumped up on her feet at the loud sound of a gun. Her eyes widened with fear. It hasn’t been so long since Austin left the room.

‘What’s going on? Did someone come to rescue us?’

She rushed to the door and pounded on it but cringed as pain shot into her ribs. She ignored it and pounded even harder, “HELP! HELP!” She paused to hear some noise but didn’t hear anything.

‘I can't give up now.’

She slammed her hands on the metal door and continued pounding, “SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!”

She flinched backward when she heard the knob make some noise. She stepped backward. But jumped backward at the loud sound at the door, ‘what's the person doing?!’ She let out a squeak when the sound increased. She crawled backward and placed her hands over her ears. She screamed again when the door slammed open and suddenly, a body rolled in.

She caught a familiar long black-headed man.

Alarick? It can't be...’

She opened her mouth to shout but her voice was croaky and low, “A-alarick?”

He raised his head and stared at her, “Ella.”

I don’t know how but I burst into tears. He is the one. He is here. He actually came to save me.’

She watched him push himself and then, she wrapped the tears off her face and rushed to him; She wrapped her arms around his waist and cried, “why didn’t you come sooner?”

He wrapped an arm around her and held her shoulder, “I am sorry.”

He pulled away from the hug and looked at her face, he cupped her face in his hands, “are you okay? Did he hurt y- What's this bruise? Did they hurt you?” The lines appeared on his forehead as he frowned in anger.

Ella held his hand and shook her head silently, “I'm okay now,” he let go of her face and held her hands instead, but then he bit his lips when the pain shot in his arm. Ella let go of his hand and held his arm with a frown on her face, “are you okay?”

He nodded, “I'm okay,” he stood up and she followed. He grabbed her hand with his right hand and intertwined their fingers. Ella could feel her cheeks turned crimson, she bit her lips shyly and she looked away from their hands to his face, he had a raised brow, “are you ready to go?”

She nodded at him and he turned and walked out pulling her with him. His injured hand was gummed to his body although, he still held his gun. He peeped his head out and looked around but he turned to her and a small smile that looked almost like a smirk appeared on his face, “let’s go.” She smiled back, “okay.”

He walked down the room to the door while using his injured hand to point the gun at anyone who came out. They turned to walk out of the door as Alarick opened the door. But suddenly, there was a crack sound of a gun and a bullet came flying to them. Alarick pulled her away and the bullet pierced into his injured shoulder, his gun fell down. He was fast; He spun around, let go of her hand and pulled another gun from his pocket and he shot at the person who shot him. Ella flinched away and hid at his back as he continued shooting and she gripped his shirt and let out a whimper.

Alarick cursed under his breath when he caught the glimpse of Austin’s brown hair flying as he hid. Alarick pulled her to the wall, leaned on it and slided to the ground. He held his injured hand and hissed in pain as blood was gushing out of his hand. He bent down and was now kneeling and he quickly picked his gun that fell down. He turned to her but when he saw the tears on her face; His eyebrows drew together and worry snaked through him, “Ella, it's gonna be fine,” he raised his injured hand to her but failed as pain shot to him and he winced in pain. “I want you to do something, okay?”

Ella looked at him with her stained cheeks and watered eyes, although, she nodded. “Don’t cry,” he dropped the gun and wiped off the tears on her face and grabbed the gun back. He looked back at her and revealed a small smile, “I want you to run as fast as you can,” he pointed his gun at the opened door, “use that door.”

She shook her head rapidly and tears poured down on her cheeks, “I can't run anymore. I just can't. Alarick, I ran away from Isla and now, I don’t want to run anymore. I don’t want to run away from you, I know the outcome. It won't be nice!” She cried harder.

He glanced back as a bullet was shot at them and he hissed and turned to her, “Ella,” he held her face and caressed it, “look at me. You have to trust me. Shit, Ella, don’t cry,” he cursed and his eyebrows snapped together in worry, “trust me on this one. I will be fine. You will be fine. I promise, okay,” he held her hands even while holding his pistol. “Run down and you will either find the soldiers or my men. They will keep you safe till I'm back, okay?”

She let out a breath while she closed her eyes and then she took another breath and opened her eyes, she stared her brown eyes into his green eyes which held worry and concern in them, and she nodded, “okay.” Alarick smiled and held her hand, “when I say go, then run, okay?” She nodded and replied with a small sad smile.

Alarick pulled himself up and pulled out another gun, he ignored the pain in his hand.

“Don’t tell me you left like that?!” Austin questioned from where he was and he shot a bullet to the wall.

Ella pressed her hands to her mouth to stop herself from screaming and sobbing although, tears ran down her cheeks. Alarick looked down at her and gave a small smile; He inched his face closer to her, closed his eyes and pressed his lips on hers. He opened his eyes and stared at her widened eyes, he inched backward and yelled, “Go!” He jumped out from the wall and pulled the trigger. She let out a scream and ran out through the door. She wanted to look back but she didn’t and she continued running. She rushed to the stairs and jumped down and sprinted away.

Alarick pulled the trigger at Austin but Austin jumped away but the bullet pierced into his thighs. Austin threw a kick at the gun in Alarick’s hand. The gun flew far away from them and fell down. Alarick bent his head so fast as Austin targeted another kick and Alarick grabbed his injured leg and pulled it. Austin lost balance and fell down on the floor, but as he fell, he threw a punch at Alarick and Alarick rolled away from him in pain.

And now, they faced themselves. Austin chuckled and pulled himself to stand and so as Alarick. “You didn’t expect that I would be great soon? I'm f**king better than you,” Austin chuckled with a smirk on his face.

Alarick leaned on the wall, “I'm not surprised,” he chuckled, “I'm rather amused. You brought my biggest enemy to me,” Alarick took off his hand from the wall and his face hardened, “if I had known you would turn like this, I wouldn’t have saved you from the fire outbreak, Austin.”

Austin chuckled dryly, “what do you mean? At the end, we are all evil villains,” he pointed at Alarick, “you and I.”

Alarick shook his head, “no. We are villains but not monsters like you are now.”

Austin let out a growl, “I'M NOT A MONSTER!”

He pulled the knife from his boot and rushed to Alarick. Alarick rolled away from him but still, the knife sliced his other shoulder. Alarick hissed in pain. He glared at Austin who laughed with joy, Alarick pulled the hammer from his pocket and stared at Austin, he smirked, “maybe they knew that you would turn out to be a monster. That’s why they switched on the stove and left you. Maybe your parents knew.”

The smile on Austin’s face fell and a vein appeared on his forehead and he rushed to Alarick but Alarick hammered the hammer on Austin’s tummy making him to roll over in pain. Austin sat up and spat out the blood in his mouth, “same as you. Marcus killed your mum because she deserved it.”

The word ‘mum’ made him angry and he rushed to Austin but Austin was fast as he pushed him to a wooden wall making it break and they fell backwards. Alarick felt something cold. He lifted his hand and touched the back of his head; He looked down at his hand; It was blood. He looked up at Austin who was still on the floor but somehow, his vision was blurry and black dots were covering his vision. Alarick shook his head as he tried to get himself back and luckily, it worked.

His eyes widened as a bullet pierced through Austin’s head. Austin fell dead to the floor and Marcus stood behind him. Marcus smirked as he held Gab which was tied but chained in his hands. Alarick stood up on his feet and his eyes shone with worry.

Marcus chuckled, “I didn’t have anything to do with him,” he pointed at Austin and looked back at Alarick, “now, kid. It's been so long since I saw you but I don’t have time for greetings so, I'll go straight to the point.” Suddenly, he pushed Gab away and raised up a switch in his hand while he pointed the gun at Alarick, “I'm already f**ked, sadly. But if possible, I can leave this country with all the money I have. So, kid,” he smirked again, “this in my hand,” he wiggled the switch, “is a bomb planted in this room. I can choose to kill all of us here or just you.”

Alarick shook his head, “no, Marcus. You can shoot me. Please allow Gab to leave,” he looked at Gab who was on the floor and a tear escaped his eyes.

Marcus chuckled and leaned on the wall, “oh now, you're begging?”

Alarick nodded, “yes. Marcus. I can knee down too, because this fight is between us-”

“Knee down then,” Marcus interrupted him with a smirk on his face.

Alarick looked at Gab who had widened eyes. Gab shook his head at Alarick but he ignored him and placed his knee on the floor and then, the other knee, “please, Marcus.”

Marcus let out a loud laugh, “oh my gosh. I can't believe what I'm seeing here.” He looked at Alarick and smiled, “but kid, the fight was for us and I want you to suffer,” he turned the gun to Gab and pulled the trigger although, Alarick dived on him. Alarick held him and pushed him out of the opened window. ‘He is needed alive. He won't die, he would only be injured.’

Alarick turned to Gab and rushed to him. Sadly, there was blood gushing out from Gab’s tummy. Alarick bent down to him and pressed his tummy, “Gab, it's going to be fine. The ambulance is outside. They will get you treated anytime soon, okay?”

Gab took a hitched breath and nodded, “big guy,” Alarick looked up at him with confusion, “live well even if I'm not there. Don’t do this again. Let the people you love, love you because they do. Live a peaceful life, Alarick.”

Alarick frowned, “what are you saying? Gab, you're capping. You're going to be fine.”

“N-none,” suddenly, Austin coughed out blood and held the switch, “none of us will live well,” he pressed the switch.

Gab pushed Alarick away from the room although not too fast and fire enveloped the room. Gab could feel the room shaking and he could see smoke in the room. He smiled, ‘maybe, it isn’t bad. It isn’t bad to end up with a bad reputation. Because, the people I love and care about; My people know who I am. They know the real me, and that’s all that matters.’

He closed his eyes, Grandmom, your son ended well.’

And the room was enveloped in fire and there was a blasting sound and the room exploded.
