I sat on the bed as I watched Lloyd throw kicks at Kai, his feet only reaching a certain height. Kai had adapted to the stature of the kid. With his knees bent, his arms slightly raised and his hands positioned as if he wanted to give a high-five with both, the little blondie could finally reach the targets(which were Kai's hands that were protected with mittens that would usually be used for cooking).

Yesterday's night was absolutely peaceful. Okay, sure, I had to share a mattress with my brother, but it wasn't that bad. We used to do that almost every night back when we were kids. Nostalgia is kicking hard right now. Except for the unnecessary kicking while sleeping. I didn't miss that one bit from him. Man, he was fighting demons in his sleep for sure.

When we were doing those kinds of sleepovers, we usually faked being asleep so our parents could go at their turn to sleep(thinking that we were dozed off) and then we would pull an all-nighter — or try. We never succeeded as in the end, we always fell asleep, but the few hours we spent together having some extra fun were worth it!.. Until the morning where we were like literal dead corpses, half-awake. And boy was it a real suffer when our parents had to homeschool us.

I divert my glare at the others that were lined up, all of them having an amused beam on their faces. I observe the little additions they got for the training session.

Zane took a pink floral pillow with a rope. He attached the pillow on his stomach with the help of the rope that was wrapped around his waist.

My brother had in his hand a HUGE wooden spoon used for mixing things in baking pots. He mainly used it like a weapon when it was his turn with Lloyd.

Speaking of pots, Cole had taken one and placed it on his head, which made me giggle. Honestly, I don't remember why he took that object. He looked like a complete idiot.

A good looking idiot.

I catch myself observing him longer than I should. Our gazes eventually meet. He furrow his brows before I see his eyes soften. He must have debated with himself if I just zoned out or not. He sends me a small smile, which makes me realize what I'm doing.

I give him an awkward smile, quickly turning my head away from him as I feel a wave of embarrassment wash over my entire body. That is weird.

"Good, keep it up!" Kai's voice encouraging Lloyd snaps me out of my reflection.

"Fists of fury! Unh!" Lloyd exclaims before launching a bunch of punches on both of the mittens. "You can't even see 'em move, I'm so fast! Ha!"

"Save the gloating." The brunette speaks up. "It can only be used against you by your enemy."
