By the time it was the morning of the next day, we had already arrived at our next hideout. We, Ninja, were grabbing branches, or, if you're Cole, a fucking tree was cool too, to cover our new mechs and whatever. Lloyd didn't have a mech so he didn't need much covering up, except his golden gi that was way too flashy.

"This is a perfect place to lay low. No robots, no cameras, no problems." Lloyd sighed with relief. I glanced in his direction, my eyes furrowing ever so slightly. Nya wasn't too far behind and she was holding a green outfit, which had some golden details.

"Still, if any aerial drones pass overhead, you better wear this." The black-haired gal had begun, approaching the blonde boy and throwing the new suit at him. "It will scramble their signal, so the robots can't find you."

Lloyd quickly caught the flying fabric before heading behind a large tree to change. While waiting for him, I could practically feel Nya's gaze pierce through my head. What was it that could put her in such a state? Was it that bad? Maybe it was some small information she got from observing who-the-heck-knows what they were fighting? Whatever it was, it seemed to affect her, in a bad way.

A chuckle emerged from the famous Golden Ninja, who sneaked out from behind the tree. He was much more.. green if I could say. He looked down at his new fit while walking to join us, admiring the new style he had. "Yeah, this is sweet."

"Lloyd?" A woman's voice emerged. A voice that one could easily recognize as it was his own mother.

The look on her son's face was as clear as the blue bright sky above our heads that he was shocked by the sudden arrival of the elderly woman. He slowly turned around, his brows raised. "Mum?"

Misako's expression changed in a blink of an eye. The questioning look on her face transformed into one of joy and relief. She rushed in his direction, opening her arms wide and pulling him into a tight hug, which the blonde boy gladly returned. Once they pulled away from their embrace, she gave each of us a confused glance. "What are you all doing here?"

The atmosphere went immediately tense, everyone's faces were either serious or regretful. We all exchanged worried gazes, our lips staying shut. That was before Lloyd decided to be the one to speak up first. "The Overlord's back and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control." He gulped, trailing his gaze down to the floor as he mentally prepared himself for what he was about to say. "He has Sensei Wu."

"Wu's tough." Misako started, taking a moment as her eyes softened. She smiled despite the news, trying to keep things optimistic. "There's a reason he's lived as long as he has."

"Well, where's dad?" Lloyd asked, his face beaming.

"Yeah, where is Lord Garmadon?" Kai asked, his tone lacking any kind of amusement. I sent him a small frown, feeling that weird sensation of déja-vu. It seemed— well, it was obvious — that he still didn't trust the whole Garmadon thing.
