A night passed, resting and patching ourselves up — examining, cleaning and bandaging our wounds. Kai and I got the most aid as we were both the most messed up. While Nya was helping her brother, Zane was taking care of me, being assisted from time to time by Jay. The brunette though, was more blabbering than helping.

We found ourselves inside the caravan, installed on one side of the home while Kai was on the other side. It sure was for the better since Jay and Cole cannot get off from each other's throats.

"Can you believe it?" All he was talking about was how Cole betrayed him, all those sentences were beginning to make my head hurt. "I thought we were best of friends, but guess I was wrong."

"Jay."

"That boulder brain just completely switched up and went for his best friend's crush. Why? Was I not a good friend for him? After all that talk of him trying to encourage me to ask her out, he still goes for her." He continued, ignoring my call out for him.

"Jay."

"Plus, he had you! How could he just forget about you and his feelings for you? It's just unfair for you!" He insisted, wiggling his hands around and making my eye twitch.

Just as I thought he stopped ranting, there he was, continuing to vent everything that crossed his mind. I glanced at Zane, who was seemingly more focused on fixing up my face than on the discussion that was happening right now with my brother, for some help. Once he found my eyes, he shook his head as if to say 'I am not getting involved in this'.

I sighed, my lips forming into a thin line, just like my patience. "Jay!" I eventually snapped, making him finally stop talking. "I love you, but please, shut up. You're starting to give me a headache."

My statement emerged a faint, yet nervous chuckle from him, who sent me a small awkward smile right after. I leaned back in my seat, finally savoring a rare moment of peace since the last events that occurred. Of course, it was all too good to be true as Jay couldn't help but open his mouth to speak — though, this time, his words seeked my attention.

"Aren't you angry about this? About him? Not even a little?"

I stared at him with my brows raised while he just returned the gaze, slightly frowning as the faintest of pouts could be seen on his face. I dropped my shoulders, letting out a breath. At the same moment, Zane had finished patching me up. He seemed to try his best not to be included in the drama as he understood that it wasn't his business unless told so — yet he seemed awkward, not knowing what to do, where to stand.

"I am, but I decided to just ignore the whole love-triangle or square thingy-thing-thing until the situation with that pesky bacteria who won't leave Lloyd alone will calm down. Then, I'll talk with them, express my feelings and whatever." I dismissed his questions, wiggling my hand.
