Chapter 10 : A Retold Truth

Auria and Alyster strolled slowly through the quiet village as the sun began to set , casting a golden glow in the sky making the Fiareeian village look even more enchanted than it already was , as the day came to an end .

" How do you know so much about Fiaree ? " Auria asked breaking their comfortable silence

" I studied it " Alyster answered

" Why though ? " Auria asked " what made you so interested in this Kingdom "

Alyster thought for a while " My dad " he said simply " He seemed to always have a deep interest in everything really , and Fiaree was one of them , I remember how he would always tell me legands and myths about Fiaree every night before bed " Alyster explained with a subtle nostalgic smile

" After he left...I continued to study Fiaree hoping it would tell me where he is... hoping it would lead me to him...but...it never did...I continued because I developed that interest that he had and wanted to know more " Alyster explained , the subtle smile had dropped

" You must really miss him " Auria said softly

Alyster sternly shook his head " No I don't "

Auria turned to him confusingly

" I don't want to see him , I don't miss him , I don't care about him and I don't want him in my life , he abandoned me and my mom and I'll never forgive him for that"

Auria felt sorry for him , she could see how he tried to hide his pain and emotions and fed himself with such lies to feel better but she knew he didn't mean any of it no matter how much he thought he did .

Alyster turned to her " Have you discovered your power ? " he asked lightly

" What power ? "

" Every royal has strong powers that they discover at a certain time or age , what's yours ? " He asked again

" W-what ? I'm not a royal " Auria answered stiffly

" I know you're the princess Auria , and you know it too " Alyster stated

Auria remained silent
" And...I saw what happened at the lake " He added

" I don't know what you're talking about " Auria said defensefully , fidgiting with her fingers

Alyster stood Infront of her
" Auria " he said firmly

Auria looked up at him annoyed
" okay I'm a princess , so ? How does that concern you ? The nerve that you have to back me up against a corner- " Auria ranted angrily

" I'm not finished ! " she said holding out her hand

" If I don't want you to know about it , you should should be a reasonable person and respect that " she stated sternly

" Move ! " she ordered and stormed off

Alyster looked at her and sighed , following in her direction

" Could you wait ?! You don't even know the way " he said care lessly

" Jeez Auria , why did you yell at him like that ? " she asked herself hitting her mouth

She turned on her side " But he deserved it , how dare he stick his big nose in my business ? "
