Chapter 45 : Plan Into Action

Kython dried his tears and stood up , he unlocked the door and entered finding Auria and Alyster seated at the dining table busy with files and papers scattered everywhere.

Alyster looked up from the papers " hey dad " he greeted

"How was the sudden meeting ? " Auria chirped not turning from the file in her hand

"How could you guys break into Tyrens residency ? " Kython demanded ice cold storming to them

Auria and Alyster looked up at each other then slowly to Kython with wide eyes

"Huh ?... " Alyster said " how do you know that ? "

"Because that's what the meeting was about " Kython answered taking a seat " Tyrens just launched a lockdown , all the gates are being locked up indefinitely. Gaurds are going to every house in the Kingdom and capturing all the teenagers . He saw you both and freaken memorised your faces , if he doesn't find you both within two weeks , all those kids will be killed ! "

Auria gasped and brought her hands to her mouth " he can't do that , not so suddenly at least"

"He does whatever he feels like doing , that's sort of his reputation here "

Auria stared at him in horror , a thought struck her mind and her face went pale and rigid

"Did... Did he recognise me ? " She asked , her voice suddenly dry

"No he didn't . And you thought I was mad telling you to disguise yourself "

Auria leaned into her seat releaved .

Kythons eyes went to the table cluttered with folders and files , he turned the one facing Auria to himself and studied it briefly , the file contained pictures and descriptions of royal mythics , some that he recognised from years of working with Tyrens for evil purposes

"These are the files you took from Tyrens' residency " he asked , sounding more like a statement

Auria nodded " All these people here are royal mythics , if you read their descriptions you'll notice that they all have the power to heal and relief pain in common . That's odd "

Kython read a few then shook his head slowly "not that odd... Don't you know why Tyrens is after you ? "

Auria thought a moment then shook her head "Not entirely "

"When Kifandre sucked the power out of Kiethore , Tyrens abandoned him , Kiethore did give half of his power to Tyrens so that half of the power feels like it has betrayed it's holder and left him weak and powerless , it causes Tyrens immense pain trying to get out "

" What does that have to do with me ? " Auria asked

"Well Auria , unlike all these other royal mythics , you have the power to permanently heal and make alive , with these mythics the pain only eases temporarily or has the possibility of taking away his power . Tyrens wants to forcefully extract that power from you to heal himself, but that forceful extraction could kill you "

Auria felt disgusted and cringed at the thought of Tyrens painfully invading her DNA and pulling out what makes her a mythic . That must have been what he was trying to do that day , the day she met her mother and went into a coma. The pain she felt was so excruciating and agonizing that she shuddered, she didn't want to go through that again

"If Auria is the only one who can permanently heal , why does Tyrens have this file ? " Alyster questioned

Kython shrugged " I don't know , there was a time he said that it's a waste of time and too much work going after these other mythics that won't permanently take away his pain , I don't see why he suddenly decides to go after them . And traveling through realms is rare in history , only few have found a way to do it  "
