Chapter 49 : Raid

Tyrens hissed and pulled away from her grip. Ausra watched him with pityless eyes as deep red blood dripped from his palms alerting the guards. Kython kicked the sword out of one of the guards hand and sliced his neck, King Blaze snuck behind the other and tackled him to the floor.
Tyrens gazed at everything incredulously, his eyes started to glint as he realised the plot. Watery eyes looked up at Ausra with disbelief, when he winced in pain and let out a pterodactyl like screech staggering to the floor, gangrene sprouted on his purple skin, the same lumps that afflicted Alyster. He groaned as his insides began to rot, the venom eating at his organs. He roared and the whole residency shook. Auria stood up to gaze at him on the floor, his mouth foamed, his eyes crossed, and his chest raised and fell as he fought for his life.

"Don't fight it anymore Tyrens" Auria said, her voice was cold and firm " Just die. DIE ! "

"Kython " King Blaze called " go alert the knights, it's time for the raid to begin "

Kython nodded and sprinted out with two of their guards behind him and Morley following with fear. Tyrens continued to struggle making all manner of animalistic sounds of pain. He exhaled sharply and a thick black fog followed his breath, he inhaled it back with force. It was like something inside him was trying to get out but he wasn't letting it. Seconds later a bomb sounded in the Estate and screams followed, a loud ear piercing horn sounded and more distant bombs from the Kingdom followed. It has begun.

"Auria go " said King Blaze with urgency " the carriage is ready and parked near the gates, take Alyster and leave "

"But Tyrens...he isn't- "

"Go ! " Her parents yelled in unison

She backed away her eyes looming on Tyrens, she then turned on her heels and ran out the residency. The outside wasn't any better, there was chaos everywhere. From where she stood she could hear the screams of terror from the Kingdom, the gallop of horses off to defend their kingdom, clangs of metal against metal as knights opposed each other. The fields and barns behind the residencies were burning, above her flew hundreds of Grackulian knights in their polished black armour and mutant horses. That's when she saw Alyster standing on a fluffy cloud with white glowing eyes looking angelic. His attention was on a row of frightened kid's walking out the Estate gates, his hand was extended to them giving them a transparent shield. They reached dozen of Fiareeian carriages that carried them into the Kingdom

"Alyster !" Auria called

His eyes searched for her and flew to her once they spotted her, the cloud dissipated as he landed on the stone floor

"How'd it go ? " He asked

"We have to leave " she told urgently

He frowned at her "leave ? Leave where ? "

"Leave here obviously, my parents and your mother don't want us to involve ourselves in this raid. "

"I don't want to leave, I can't and you can't either. Are you happy with this kingdom for confusing your life and separating you from your parents and true life ? "
"Alyster it's not the Kingdom's fault, the people here are innocent and don't even know why any of this is happening."

He scoffed "either way, I'm mad at this Kingdom for taking my father away from me, if it wasn't for them my sister would still be alive " his tone was hostile " you can leave if you want but I'm not going anywhere "

He turned and was about leap into the air when she pulled him back

"You know I can't leave without you " she muttered

"Then don't. We aren't just doing this for us but for all the royal mythics that Tyrens wants to abduct. If Grackula isn't dissolved every realm will be endangered "
