Chapter 41 : Father's Home

" Is this all necessary? " Auria asked unsure staring at herself in the mirror " it feels a little too much "

"It's very necessary , the whole reason Grackula is our rival is because of their obsession with you " King Blaze answered

" It's all to make you unrecognisable" Merlin added

The royal family sat in Merlin's work lab putting together a disguise for Auria , she stared at herself in a cracked mirror on a wall having on a transparent pink shower cap

"Right , it's been exactly 30 minutes, you can take it off now " Merlin said

Auria ripped off the shower cap feeling her hair flow down , she glanced at the mirror and her eyes grew wide , a loud screech left her lips

"WHAT . DID YOU DO . TO MY HAIR ?!?!? " She yelled turning sharply to Merlin

The colour wasn't the problem , it was a beautiful golden brown . But the length , instead of it being it's usual bellow shoulders , it reached just bellow her neck in a bob style

"Don't worry princess , it's temporary, I swear " Merlin assured backing away

Auria huffed out a breath and went back to the mirror . It wasn't what she was used to but it wasn't bad

"Dying your hair with this potion for 30 minutes straight should last a month before it wares off " Merlin informed handing her thin black round rimmed glasses " To make you more unrecognisable"

She reluctantly put them on , the lens made her rich almond brown eyes look crystal blue but the glasses did flatter her , or whoever the stranger was in the mirror .
The chunky wooden door swung open and Alyster walked in with the communication stone in hand

"My dad just called... " He started , his eyes met Auria's and his brows frowned in confusion

"Who is she ? " He genuinely asked

"Its me... Auria "She answered in an obviously tone

Alyster squinted at her and realisation dawned on him " why do you look so... Different? " He gaped at her like she was some rare creature

"That's the point " Queen Ausra remarked

"Anyways , you were saying " Auria asked dismissively

"Yeah , my dad just called and said we can be on our way now , we'd reach there at around 01 : 00am "

Auria's eyes widened " Already ? I haven't even packed"

"You aren't going with anything , Kython will provide everything for you both " King Blaze said

" Not even a toothbrush ? "

"Nothing"

Merlin pulled out two tiny glass bottles with brown liquid handing it to Auria

" I'm sure this will be enough , dye it once the colour starts to fade and the length starts to grow " he instructed

They all marched down the stairs meeting Lindsay leaning against the doors leading to the stables . The moon was out and the stars winked in the sky , currently being 20 : 00pm , the stables were warm , at one corner were two skinny white horses saddled and ready . In the pockets of the saddle were plastic water bottles . Lindsay handed them both thick black coats and a quick tight hug

"These should keep you both warm while you travel into the unknown , don't get distracted , don't stray off trail , don't talk to passerbyers just go to Grackula straight . You're going to your father's house , make yourself at home and eat all you want " she said , the last part to Alyster
