Chapter 17 : Comfort

Kython jumped off his horse , centimeters from the estate grounds , one of the legion boys rushed to his horse to take it back to the stables
Kython speed walked up the hill near the barracks towards his residency

"Kython wait up ! " Asher hollered but Kython ignored him and continued up the hill

He passed the main residency with an inhuman speed and reached his residency, the gaurds bowed before they pushed open the iron doors , he stormed through throwing of his armour as he went
Seconds later Asher and Mannesah stumbled into the living room

"Kython what's going on ? You would never retreat . NEVER . You were only a few feet away from the princess , what happened ? " Asher demanded impatiently throwing up his hands by his side

"Get out . Both of you . LEAVE ! " Kython ordered with a shaky and breaking voice

Mannesah stepped forward and placed her hand on his shaking one that held the kitchen counter so tight it cracked

"You saw your son " she said softly

"You have a son ! " Asher exclaimed but calmed down after getting a sharp look from Mannesah

"I...I injec...injected him... " Kython said with a lump in his throat , his eyes heavy with tears as he stared down at the counter

"The spanic...?" Asher started with shock . Kython nodded .

Mannesah pulled him into a hug and he broke , he sobbed onto her shoulder crying harder than he ever has before , his heart ached badly and the lump in his throat grew

"Shhh... it's okay " Mannesah hushed soothingly rubbing his back

"I killed my son " he wheezed out and cried harder

Asher came forward and hugged the both of them "you didn't kill him Kython...you didn't" he comforted with wet eyes

"I haven't seen him in over ten years... And I killed him " Kython cried instinctively hugging Mannesah tighter wiping his teary face on her already damp shoulder

He was in pain , getting comfort from a soceror he loathed and a somewhat friend that looked up to him , made it worse
