Chapter 11: Talk Of The Library

The next morning Auria came downstairs to see Lindsay and Alyster already up.
Sunlight poured into the house through the open curtains, the entire house smelt of nuts and butter
Alyster looked up at her and laughed almost choking on his water " You look divine in the morning " he said sarcastically

Auria ignored his comment and sat at the kitchen counter , balancing her head on her hand , she blew a strand of her unbrushed hair from her face

" Morning my dear " Lindsay greeted

" Morning " Auria said through a yawn

Lindsay smiled " You're certainly not a morning person "

Auria nodded " never have been and never will be "

Lindsay chuckled at that and grabbed two bowls from the open shelves " what do you two have planned for the day ? "

Alyster shrugged " Nothing , I'm gonna laze around the house, Mr Grey doesn't need help on the farm today " he said and stretched proving how lazy he is

Lindsay rolled her eyes at him, she poured roasted nuts from the pot into the two bowls and a chunk of butter in each which melted on the hot meal , she placed a spoon in each and passed them to Auria and Alyster
" And what about you Auria? " she asked

Auria remembered her mother's journal to her about Tyrens and the plan she had in mind " I was hoping to go to a library near by , is there any in the village? " she asked taking a spoon full of the nuts

" library ? " Alyster asked " what for ? "

"Well I just love history and Fiaree is obviously a place that holds so much history , and I just want to know more about it " she illustrated with a show of hands

Alyster gave her a suspicious look but Lindsay beamed up at the discovery
"Of course there's a library in Fiaree and a very popular and old one at that " Lindsay said with a broad smile

" Yeah but it's so far away, it's not even in the village " Alyster remarked

"Yes but it's the perfect place to learn about Fiaree , it holds all the events that have ever occured in the Kingdom , you two should go " Lindsay said with a vibrant smile

" Yes we should " Auria said matching her energy and excitement

" No we shouldn't, I don't wanna go anywhere " Alyster firmly stated , ruining the vibe

"Oh come on Alyster , we haven't been there in ages and you love that library " Lindsay pleaded " The great Fiareeian library, a vintage and acient place that holds tremendous stories of those who lived before us " Lindsay said nostalgia dripping from her words as if recalling sentimental memories

Alyster sighed frustratingly " Fine , fine we'll go " he said at last

" Perfect ! " Auria and Lindsay exclaimed in unison clapping their hands in excitement

" Since it's a long journey, you should pack something to eat " Lindsay instructed and grabbed a brown duffel bag near the front door " make sure to lock up when you leave , I'll be back late so don't wait for me , love youuuuu " she said waving and blowing them kisses before shutting the front door

" Where's Lindsay off to ? " Auria asked

" Work , she's a part-time seamstress " Alyster answered then gave her an annoyed look " Why did you suddenly decide to go to the library today ? "

Auria shrugged " I wanna learn about the Kingdom, I am the princess after all"

"But I'm the only one who knows that , you could've picked any other day " Alyster opposed
