*CAMERONS POV*

I felt life was finally perfect. Like we faced many obstacles but we get through them each time. I feel like Rachel and I could conquer the world. Now that she is finally mine, I'm thankful. I'm thankful that she gave me another shot at winning her over. Rachel is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. Many bad things have been in our life, but I think the good times over rule them completely.

I have Rachel. I have a son. I have great friends and family. And Kenzie is out of my life for good, till the baby comes..

Rachel and I had a long talk the other day and she said as much as she wants to pursue singing, she doesn't think it's the best idea. I'm gonna go with her, which ever side she chooses. Even though she has the voice of an angel.

Rachel and I have been getting along good and nothing is getting in the way. Life is finally going our way.

- flashback -

Roger. Roger was the guy who helped me in the army. He helped me on the battlefield and off. He tried to get me to forget about Rachel but I just couldn't find myself to do it..

"Tell me about her." Roger says.

"Her personality is just wow. Her brown hair travels along her back. Her smile shines so bright. Don't get me started about those green eyes you could get lost in.." I say.

"It seems you are talking about just her features more than her personality, man." Roger says.

"I could go and on.. But her personality.. It amazes me how someone could be that perfect, you know? Like she's so caring about everything and everyone.... She always helped someone. That's the thing I liked about her the most, she put other people before her." I say.

"Then why did you leave?" Roger asks.

"I felt like some how, deep in my heart, I was hurting her. Not physically but mentally. I felt like I was stopping her from chasing her goals in life. I didn't want to bring her down.." I say.

"Did she love you?" He asks.

"Yes." I say.

"Then I don't think you were hurting her.." Roger says.

"How do you know?" I ask.

"Well, I think by you leaving out of the blue, you caused more pain in her heart more than ever now." He says.

"It hurts to think that she is not mine anymore, but she's free and she can live her life now." I say.

"Are you sure about that? Are you sure she is free?" Roger asks.

"Positive." I say.

"Because if she loved you and you just left, I don't think I would feel free.. I would feel like an anchor, holding me down because you left." Roger says.

"Are you saying I made a bad decision?" I ask.

"I think you made a terrible decision. But that is just my heart telling me what's right and what's wrong. You shouldn't of left her, man.." Roger says.

I put my face in my hands as I cry.

"I don't even know why I did it! I'm so stupid and now I may never ever get her back!"

"Hope." Roger says.

"What?" I ask.

"There's always hope." He says.
