The whole of that day Hyunjin did nothing to conceal his aggravation towards Yeji. In fact he wanted it to be apparent.

"Do you guys have plans for Halloween?" Yeji turned back to ask excitedly.

"I bet you already have, with that nerdy." Hyunjin scoffed at her.

"Bitch chill!" Ryujin hit his arm.

"I don't." She then turned to Yeji.

"How about we go to an escape room?" Yeji suggested.

"We can just go now, we don't have to wait for a whole month." Felix added from beside her.

"Right... I just like planning ahead." Yeji giggled.

"Let's plan a girls night out, I talked to Lia a bit, she seems cool. I wanna know her more." Ryujin recollected the short interaction she had with Lia.

"That would be great!" Yeji squeaked in excitement.

"Am I invited?" Hyunjin asked out of nowhere.

"Well if you identify as "one of the girls" then yes." Ryujin replied almost immediately as if she had been waiting for this moment.

Hyujin swiped back his long hair with some queer sass. He crossed his long legs and stuck his chest out. "Hey besties!" He said in a high tone mimicking the textbook definition of gay.

Yeji and Ryujin erupted into a laughter. Felix turned away, embarrassed for his friend. "Dude really?"

He broke character almost immediately as he felt himself getting immersed into Yeji's laughter. It sounded  melodious to his ears. A small smile crept its way to his lips making him forget that he was actually mad at her.

"Nah but like that looked so believable." Ryujin remarked between her laughter. "Is that why you have never fallen in love? You know coz you are actually not into girls... you know...."

"None of your business." He pushed her nosy head with his index finger.

Yeji was no longer getting the threatening letters. She had made really good friends and her life felt amazing. Each day went by with smoothness just enough to contain both normalcy and excitement. It seemed like she had finally settled in, like she was finally happy but something was eating her up. Her own feelings. She decided to let go of it all. Pay no attention to both Hyunjin and Bangchan. She had just developed a great friendship with Bangchan through their newly shared interest in manga, she didn't want to ruin that. Hyunjin's case was different however, she feared falling for him... she had to constantly remind herself that she didn't like him. It worked but she didn't know until how long.

It was just another normal day at school when Yeji was walking down the hallway to fill her water bottle. She had barely made it to the water dispenser when she heard two people arguing. Upon turning to look, she recognised the two faces : it was Changbin and Han.

They were in the same grade but different classes so their meetings would be limited to bumping into each other in school like this.

"Yah! Yeji." Changbin called her when they locked eyes.

"What's up with you two?" She asked.

"Help us decide please." Changbin requested as he handed a headphone for her to wear.

"So we both made the lyrics for this song. He keeps saying that his is better, even though mine matches the melody and has a better flow." Han explained when he noticed Yeji's confused eyes.

She proceeded to listen after making an O shaped mouth expression. Each part took about 30 seconds hence after a minute, Yeji concluded that they both had different feeling but sounded equally good. She really was a peacemaker.
