Brina heard a ringing in her ear and her head pounded with an intensity that threatened to split her skull in two. She groaned and reached out to hug her man.
She opened her eyes and noticed the covers were messed up and the room was spinning slightly. Brina's memory was a hazy blur of laughter, dancing, and the love they shared.
Megumi, her head resting on the pillow next to hers, was still sound asleep. His messy hair and His shirt gone.
Brina winced as the sunlight pierced through the curtains, making her headache even worse. "Baby... what h- Uhg" Brina's voice was a raspy whisper as she attempted to speak, her dry throat adding to her discomfort.
She slowly maneuvered herself into a sitting position, her body protesting every movement.
Brina reached out to gently shake Megumi awake, her touch tender despite her own discomfort. "Hey, baby," she murmured, hoping to wake him.
Megumi stirred, his eyelids fluttering as he slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the sunlight that filtered into the room. His gaze met Brina's, and a sleepy smile tugged at his lips.
"Morning," he mumbled, his voice still heavy with sleep. He reached out to brush a strand of hair from Brina's face, his touch gentle and loving.
Brina managed a weak smile, her headache still pounding in the background. "Morning," she replied, her voice a little stronger than before. She leaned in to give Megumi a soft, lingering kiss, savoring the sweetness even in the midst of her discomfort.
