While he waited for Geto to arrive, Gojo decided to tidy up his place a bit. He put away the scattered toys and turned off the TV. It had been a fun distraction for Mizu and Ezra, but now he needed to create a more relaxed atmosphere.
He grabbed a bottle of Crown Royal and mixed it with ginger ale and a fresh squeeze of lime juice. Gojo knew that sharing a drink could help ease the tension and make their conversation flow more naturally.
"Ri, go to your cage," Ri, his sleek black cat, responded to his call with a flick of her tail but otherwise stayed where she was, lounging on the windowsill and lazily eyeing the world outside.
"Stubborn as ever, huh?" Gojo muttered with a fond smile. He knew Ri well enough to understand that she would come and go as she pleased, no matter how much he tried to coax her into her cage.
The door opened and Geto stepped in. "No knock?" Gojo asked, placing his drink down. "You know me too well for me to knock" Geto replied, taking his black coat and hanging it by the door. He wore his usual dark attire, a stark contrast to Gojo's more casual clothing.
As Geto settled into the living room, Gojo poured him a drink, careful not to hog all the Crown Royal. He handed the glass to Geto, who just looked at him. "I smoke. You know that" "If you don't take this damn drink" Gojo grumbled, handing it back to him.
"Alright, fine, I'll indulge you this time," he said with a smirk, taking a sip of the Crown Royal concoction. The taste of the whiskey mixed with ginger ale and a hint of lime was surprisingly refreshing, and it helped ease some of the initial tension in the room.
