(Maha's outfit)

Time flowed by as the preparations
went on.

It was finally the big day. The event was supposed to happen in the evening. Maha and Saad were happy, excited and a bit nervous about their new life ahead.

Farin arrived at Maha's home in the morning to help her get ready.

"How do you feel? Are you happy about everything?" Farin asked while taking a place on Maha's bed.

"Yes I am really happy." Maha replied smiling at her.

"I told you not to be worried. Your parents love you a lot Mash Allah. But, tell me one thing. Did you like Saad?", A mischievous grin plastered on her face while putting the question.

"Umm..yes he was nice." She replied blushing at her remark.

"Someone has turned red." Farin
teased her.

"Who said that? I'm not blushing. Let's go get ready. The guests will be arriving anytime." Maha replied being embarrassed.

Farin chuckled and said, "Okay let's go."

Saad's POV

I am getting ready for my big day, the day my life is going to get bound with someone else's life. I can't understand if I'm more nervous or happy.

Suddenly I heard a light knock on my door, it was Ali.

"Let's go bro. Everyone is waiting. Aren't you ready yet?" He uttered entering my room.

"I'm ready. But I'm very nervous." I spoke looking at him.

"Don't worry too much. You should be happy now. Let's head out." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder and leading me out.

"Remember, whenever we would talk about marriage, you would say I will be getting married first. But now look at you getting hitched." He chuckled lightly looking at me.

I looked at him and said "Don't worry. I still think you'll find your wife before I move in with Maha."

"Ameen." He said dramatically raising his hands up, resulting me to chuckle.

Author's POV

It was after Zuhr prayer when Saad's family headed towards Maha's home. Saad's mother seemed on cloud nine. They were cordially received by Maha's family as they reached. They all had lunch together and the main ritual began shortly afterwards.

*Maha and Saad were now
united in wedlock*

Now it was time for the newly married couple's first meeting as husband-wife. Saad went to Maha's home after the Akdh in mosque. Maha was seated in her room, awaiting Saad's advent. Suddenly she looked up hearing a mild tap on the door and the door opened revealing Saad.

Saad's POV

My heart was beating really fast as I took steps towards Maha. As soon as I saw her my heart skipped a beat. It felt like I was seeing a fairy in front of me.

Maha's POV

I looked at the door only to find Saad and our eyes locked the very next moment. I don't have any words to explain how I was feeling as Saad was stepping towards me. This was a very different kind of feeling. I tore my gaze because I wasn't being able to bear my heartbeat. It was faster than ever. He came taking slow steps and sat beside me, shyness visible in his demeanor.

He pulled out a ring from his pocket and asked if I liked it. I just nodded as I suddenly lost my ability to speak. He wasn't moving his gaze from me even for a second. I felt my cheeks burning by his actions.

I forced myself to gather some courage to start a conversation.

"Do you want to say something?" My voice barely above whisper.

"You are looking adorable." I noticed a hue of redness on his face which resembles the shade of my cheeks, as soon as we registered in mind what he said.

"Thanks" I could hardly speak.

Author's POV

They flinched as Saima knocked the door breaking their trance.

She came in and held Maha's face in admiration. "You're my daughter from now. Keep visiting me when you get time. Don't hesitate to talk to me about anything. Remember, I love you as much as I love Saad." She patted Maha's cheeks and told her son that it was time for them to leave, before departing from the scene.

Later~

Saad's mind only harboured thoughts of Maha. He decided to message her.

"Assalamualaikum Maha. How
are you?"

"Wa alaikum Assalam. Alhamdulillah I'm good. How are you?" She replied after a few minutes.

"I'm fine alhamdulillah. Can I call you now if you are free?" He replied immediately, giving her butterflies in stomach.

"Sure." She manner brittle.

Saad called within a split second.

"Well you forgot something Saad." She said after greeting him, to break the ice between them.

"What did I forget? Did I leave anything there..without my heart?" he said the last words in a whisper, hoping Maha wouldn't hear.

"No you didn't leave anything." She blushed but pretended not to hear him though she did.

"Then what did I forget?" He questioned.

"You forget to put this ring in my finger" she spoke showing it.

"Ohh...then I'll be there tomorrow to
do that." He replied flashing a cheeky smile.

They continued their conversation for some more time about random stuff before hanging up.

Next day~
Saad was getting ready to leave for his office. Saima said "Saad, I wanted to go visit Maha today. How about you join me rather than going to office now?"

"I'll be going there in the evening, ma. I have some important work scheduled for now." He spoke while wearing his watch.

"Ohh, you have already planned it. That's great dear. Then I'll be ready before you arrive."

"Okay mom, Allah Hafiz." He said patting her face with a smile, as if she were a baby girl, while she grinned in excitement.

At the evening~

Saad and Saima were on the way to Maha's place. Saima suddenly told him to stop the car by the roadside as she wanted to go somewhere.
