Saima suddenly told Saad to stop the car by the roadside as she wanted to go somewhere.
Saad wanted to accompain her but she told him to wait in the car. He peeked his head out to see where she was going. First, she made her way inside a flower shop and came out with a bunch of beautiful white and pink tulips. Then she headed towards a sweet shop.
She spoke to Saad as she came back grinning, "I have brought Maha's favourite sweets and some beautiful flowers. She'll be very happy." Saad smiled at his Mom and started driving again once she settled in.
Maha was as excited as Saad to meet for the first time after the wedding. She decided to wear an anarkali suit, pairing it with some silver jewellery. Her subtle makeup portrayed pure elegance.

Saad and Saima reached there in no time. Maha opened the door for them as the bell rang.
Saad's POV
I was surprised once again by Maha's beauty. Her kohl eyes which were sparkling, innocent face with crimson cheeks, all took my breath away. Her long braided hair was adding to her charms.
Author's POV
Maha welcomed them in and they took their seats in the living room as Rabia joined. Everyone got engaged in small talks but Saad, who was lost in his thoughts besides glancing at Maha time to time. This didn't go unnoticed by Saima.
So, she spoke "Rabia, let's go meet Mrs.Ahmed."
"Yes, let's go. She told me to bring you when you come." Rabia replied while getting up from her seat. And they left.
"You're looking as pretty as a picture" Saad said wasting no time, as their mothers left.
"Thank you" Maha uttered with a shy smile looking down at her lap.
"You were talking casually yesterday but now you're stuttering. What happened?" Maha looked up at his face hearing him.
"No, I'm not. Nothing happened." She replied though her cheeks were still burning.
"Umm...leave it. Give me the ring." He said sensing her discomfort.
"Which ring?" She said as her mind was foggy.
"The one I gave you yesterday." he replied casually.
"Ohh I'll get it." she went to get it.
Maha's POV
As I forwarded my hand towards him to give the ring, he grabbed it. And in the very next moment, he pulled my hand giving me jitters and chills.
He made me sit beside him slid the ring in my finger. Then, he spoke looking straight into my eyes, "Don't take it off ever please."
"I won't" I uttered with a smile.
Two pairs of eyes were locked once again. Saad was still holding my hand when Adam entered in the living room.
"I think you should go to the balcony. The weather is nice today." He said looking at us as if he caught us doing something illegal.
We both looked at Adam hearing him, only to find him grinning.
Author's POV
In the balcony~
Maha spoke "I got something for you".
"You have already surprised me a lot by showing this avatar of yours."
"Will you stop please? I'll go get it." She said making him chuckle and went towards her room. She brought a box which had a watch and showed it to Saad.
"Do you like it?" She asked hoping for a positive response.
"I absolutely love it." he said taking off the watch which was already in his wrist. He wore the watch brought by Maha and said "Thanks." Maha passed him a smile saying "That's my pleasure."
They enjoyed the evening with mugs of coffee brought by Rabia after she returned. They talked heart to heart about their interests and dislikes, chuckling at things time to time.
Later, Saad and Saima left for their place after having dinner with Maha's family.

Some days later~
It was 4 in the evening. Maha tried calling Saad several times since the morning. But he was not picking it up nor was he replying to any of her messages. After a good few tries, finally Saima picked it up as she spotted it buzzing while she came in Saad's room.
"Assalamu alaikum Maha. How are you?" Saima spoke picking up the call, seeing the name displaying on the screen.
"I'm great, ma. How are you?" She replied mirroring Saima's loving tone towards her.
"I'm good but Saad has high fever. That's why he wasn't picking your calls. He's been in his bed since the morning."
"He was fine yesterday. How did he get sick all on a sudden? I'll be at your place in some time." Her voice expressing her worry.
"He always gets sick suddenly. Don't worry too much. I'll take care of him."
"Ohh, anyways, I'll be there in some time. Take care of yourself Ma." She said in a serious tone.
"Okay. See you soon then." Saima replied.
Maha informed her mom everything and headed towards Saad's house for the first time since their akdh. But she was not excited rather she was tensed because of the situation.
As Maha reached, Saima opened the door and hugged her reverently. She saw a worried Maha for the first time.
"Don't be so worried, dear. It's just a fever. She said passing a smile, trying to comfort her.
Maha smiled forcefully in return to not dishearten her. Saima again uttered "He slept just a while ago taking his medicine. I didn't tell him that you called as you said you're coming. Have a seat and we will enjoy some tea together."
"Alright" said Maha accompanying her to the kitchen.
Maha insisted on making tea for themselves. Although Saima told her not to, she still made it. After some time, Saima told Maha to wake Saad.
Saad's POV
I was lying down with closed eyes as I was feeling really weak. I felt a cold hand touching my face suddenly. I didn't expect her to be here now. I grabbed it slowly as I am sure about who it is.
