He stood up from his bed immediately and headed towards the entrance of his home, "Oh Allah! I'm so sorry Maha. I'll come right away. Please don't be angry."
"No need. I'm coming. Wait for me." She said coldly and cut the call.
Saad could sense her anger although she was trying her best not to show it, because what he did was totally a mistake worth forgiving.
Maha came out of the cafe and went to Saad's home. Saad decided to go and wait for Maha in front of his main gate.
As Maha arrived, Saad went near her and tried to say something. But Maha just sprinted inside without sparing him a glance to meet Saima. Saad followed her and eventually decided to wait for her until she comes in his room after greeting Saima.
But when she was sitting with Saima quite longer than usual, he assumed intentionally to avoid him, he went towards her and grabbed her hand to take her in his room excusing Saima, saying he needs to talk to her.
Maha followed him to his room without any protest, while he had his fingers intertwined with hers. He made her sit on the edge of his bed and sat in front of her holding both her hands.
"I'm so sorry, my love. I was so indulged in thinking about the new project that I forgot about the date." His gaze soft and voice low as he looked into her eyes.
"It's okay. I know it was important." she said looking away, wanting to shrug off her exasperation though she was very pissed.
"I'm sorry Maha." He cupped her face with a hand and pressed his lips tightly.
"It's fine." she said coldly and removed his hand.
"Accha let's go to the terrace. The weather is so nice." He dragged her by pulling her hand, giving no chance to speak.
They sat on the swing placed there. Saad could sense how angry Maha was, so he started talking about random things to change the air slowly. But Maha stayed unbothered and maintained her cold composure, humming time to time.
"Maha, let's go have dinner out." he proposed.
"Leave it Saad. I don't wanna go anywhere." She shrugged while her gaze was roaming on everything but him.
Saad sighed and spoke "Don't be angry babe, I promise it won't happen again."
"I am not angry." Her icy tone conflicted her words.
"I know you are angry. But please don't punish me with this cold behaviour, I can't bear it." He linked his arm with her and leaned his head on hers.
"I'm not being cold." she spoke.
"You are. Accha if you don't wanna go to have dinner then, let's just go out and have a walk."
Maha was dragged to go out before she could reply, because he couldn't let her say no. Maha did not object and went along with him.
They were walking silently on the road while Saad was taking glances of her every so often. He cleared his throat and said "It is raining so much after such a long time today." But Maha just hummed in response.
They were walking by the roadside when suddenly Saad told Maha to wait and he went somewhere.
He came back hiding something behind his back and held a bunch of flowers dramatically in front of her. She couldn't help but chuckle lightly at his tactics and clasped her fingers around the small bunch of lovely flowers from him. Saad had a smile of victory on his face now.
After a while, he convinced her to visit the cafe at the corner of the road. After placing their order, they both were silent again.
Saad asked her in quite a serious tone
"How are your studies going?"She looked up at his face and replied "Great, alhamdulillah. But I'm struggling with calculus as usual."
And gradually Saad succeeded to start a conversation with her. After they were done with having coffee, they were walking on the roadside once more, but hand in hand now.
It started pouring heavily again. Maha and Saad rushed to the bus stop, waiting for the rain to stop or slow down, so they could walk home, as it was not very far from Saad's home and the road was nearly empty.
They were silently enjoying the rain when suddenly Maha spoke looking at him "Do you like rain Saad?" She forwarded her hand to touch the raindrops and closed her eyes scrunching her nose as water sprinkled on her face.
"Yes, very much." He said admiring her.
"Then come." she pulled him in middle of the road to get drenched in the rain before he could comprehend what's happening.
Saad could see a little girl in her while she was enjoying the rain and giggling. After a while Saad pulled her and started walking towards his home as she could get sick by catching cold. Soon the rain stopped too.
Maha shivered as a cold breeze hit her water drenched body. As Saad noticed it, he left her hand to hug her from behind and they started walking like that. Maha's cheeks burned as soon as he wrapped his arms but she decided to stay quiet and enjoy his warmth.
Saad dropped her at her home after she changed into another abaya that was in Saad's home.
The date might be spoiled but the time they spent together was precious.
°°°°°Maha chuckled recalling all the sweet memories. Then she started writing the reply letter and after getting done with it she recited surah Al-Mulk and dozed off laying on her side.
Saad's POV
I just arrived at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport and I heard a pop sound on my phone signalling I got some messages. I checked only to realise that they were from Maha.
(Don't forget to take your migraine pills and drink enough water.
Take care of yourself, mi amour🌹✨)I smiled reading it and replied assuring her that I'll do it. Then I headed towards my hotel but not before taking my pill about which I got reminded by Maha.
