'Close your eyes, start counting sheep'.
If you do so long enough you might fall asleep. But if sheep doesn't work then what do you do?
Adults can't tell you, they don't have a clue.I once counted over four hundred sheep.
And all it did was get me back on my feet. They told me 'just lay still and close your eyes'
I might get bored but it's worth a try.All it did was make everything loud!
When all I needed was to sleep on a cloud. But clouds are just air that you can fall through.
So even that is impossible too.It got to a point where my mind made a scene.
I wasn't asleep - Is it still called a dream?I could still hear everyone laughing downstairs.
Whether I'm awake or not, nobody cares. The scenes in my mind, they're of a different land.
One where there's dragons, sea monsters, and sand.Yet I know I'm not there. I can still hear it all.
The closing of doors when people leave the hall. Then there's silence. In my mind and here too.
No pictures or scenes... okay maybe a few.I think I fell asleep.
How late? I don't know.Yet, in the morning, I'll wake and fall back to sleep.
Then, and only then.
I can tell you.
I finally had a dream.
