I'd like to make a toast:
A toast to an end and beginning.
A toast to life and death
That celebrates memories of those who were living.

I'd like to say goodbye:
To a month of hardships and poems,
To a month of love and family,
And accomplishments that left me determined.

Determined to try things of new
By reviving this book oh so old.
Which revealed new strengths of mine
Through trial, error, and being bold.

It's reminded me of my passions -
Ones I forgot I had.
Parts of my life I lost sight of
And for that this month makes me glad.

Glad for what it's given me
And the inspirational sparks.
For the friends I forgot I speak to
And the spirits I left in the dark.

As this final day of Inktober
Symbolises a spiritual flame.
Where those choose to leave or visit.
Where we celebrate the sun slowly wane.

So I'll treasure this day of October
Where trick or treaters begin prowling.
While the last hours begin to burn
On this beautiful day called Samhain.
