When I first read this prompt I read straddle.
But on a horse don't you straddle a saddle?

Or are you straddling the horse?
This poem's slowly regressing off course.

Maybe this poem should be called ADD.
I had no idea what I'm doing you see.

So attention deficit might fit the bill
While I try to write about a saddle until-

Is that a butterfly that I just saw outside?
Where did it go? Is it trying to hide?

Wait, where was I...? Right! Back on track.
Sometimes a saddle can include bags to pack.

You can pack for holidays or journeys with food.
Talking of food, would stopping to eat be rude?

...

Okay I'm back! Did I keep you waiting?
We're talking about saddles? Saddles are amazing!

Like the ones made for dragons in a mythical world!
Yet in the books, Fishlegs' hair was curled.

If someone has only watched How To Train Your Dragon, read the book.
Toothless is tiny and there's pictures so take a look.

Anyway, sorry, I didn't mean to digress.
We're talking about saddles, that's what the prompt would suggest.

But by now this is a brain fart and I don't know what to do.
What is there to write about a saddle?

Wait, was that line supposed to rhyme?
I'll still leave it in. Maybe readers wouldn't mind?

I don't know at the moment and I'm not inspired at all.
Can you fit a saddle on a giraffe or are they too tall?

Okay, but now I have to look it up so it doesn't bug me all day.
'Can you put a saddle on a giraffe?' What will it say?

Apparently a horse one won't work so you'd have to make your own.
Why would someone think a horse one would work anyway they're too big an animal and why would they need one when they live-

I give up on this poem.
It's about giraffes and dragons now. And I'm hungry again.

Bye!
