I wandered to a far off place when I only meant to go for a morning walk.
Yet I reached a place with colours I'd never seen before. This place was drenched in mysteries and trees of gold and blue.
Travelling, I met people all with strange features too.One had wings for ears and another a scaley tail.
I tried to ask where I was but my efforts were futile and I failed. The woman I asked looked at me perplexed and didn't know what to say.
So I tried to ask once more and she simply walked away.I watched her approach her friends and talk in a tounge I couldn't comprehend.
They looked at me, judgemental, and I grasped what it meant in the end.None of them could speak my tongue and I couldn't understand theirs.
I looked towards the green glowing sun to avoid all their stares. How did I get here? Looking back, I don't know where I've been.
Yet I try to leave the settlement and my wrist is grabbed by someone lean.It was woman I first approached, serious and shaking her head.
Then I realised the sun was setting and people were going to bed.Her face said something crystal clear: 'It's dangerous, you need to stay.'
So stay I did and when we woke she dragged me to find our way.I tried to make conversation while we walked but I watched as her anger grew.
She finally snapped, face painted with fury but what she said, I don't have a clue.It was a begrudging walk where we had to go back at night.
We couldn't find my home and her anger only grew more bright. It felt as if I could not leave when every search went wrong.
Yet while watching I learned insults and an untranslated tribal song.I learnt to say some things, hello and goodbye to name a few.
I also learnt how to say sorry, please, and thank you.Yet I couldn't tell what she was saying with each attempt to help me home.
It didn't matter when or where we wandered as we got lost whenever we roamed. It took a month at least but we found the sun I once knew.
We found where I lived and my familiar sky of blue.Yet it didn't feel like home anymore yet I thanked her for her kindness.
For the walks we had made us grow close and our moments together timeless. So I invited her inside but watched her stare at my world in awe.
I didn't think about it at first but this was somewhere she'd never seen before. Our worlds were distant and oh so strange yet it felt so hard to part.
Even when she hated me. Even when this was our goal at the very start. So I said goodbye in her tongue and to my surprise she said so in mine.
She then began to say something and by her expression it seemed kind.I waited for her to finish and told her how much I'd miss her company.
But only once she was out of my grasp, I worked out she said the same thing as me.
