Survivor (Newt/Jasper Hale fanfic)

Chapter 10/ Alice vision

I woke up and looked over to see Teresa having Thomas' head in her lap. We sat in the pit bored while Thomas was sleeping as I saw Newt, Chuck and Minho walk over to us leaning against the door. "Newt!" I said, touching Newt's hand through the bars. "Hey you okay?" Newt asks, looking down at me as I nod my head looking back at him.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Chuck asks as I look over to see Thomas awake. " I had to remember…" Thomas says laying up. "Gally has taken control…he has everyone thinking that you guys are one of them…" Newt says, looking at Thomas still holding my hand through the bars.

"Well he's been right so far.." Thomas says leaning against the wall as Newt tilts his head confused. "What do you mean?" Newt asks, watching. "This place... it's not what we thought it was. It's not a prison, it's a test. It all started when we were kids. They'd give us these challenges. They were experimenting on us, and then people started disappearing, every month, one after the other, like clockwork." Thomas says, looking at them.

"They were sending them up into the maze." Newt says listening. "Yeah, but not all of us…" Thomas answers looking at his friends. "What d'you mean?" Minho asks, listening to what's being said. "Guys, I'm one of them. The people who put you here, I worked with them. I-I watched you guys for years. The entire time you've been here, I... I was on the other side of it.." Thomas says as I hear and looks at him shocked.

"And so were you two.." Thomas says, looking at me and Teresa. "What?" Teresa asks, tearing up as I tear up, also not knowing what to say. "Teresa, Alex we did this to them.." Thomas says as I gulp. "No. That can't be true." I said as tears fell down my cheeks. "It is. I saw it.." He says looking at mine and Newt's hands. "Why would they send us up if we were with them?" Teresa asks looking at Thomas."It doesn't matter." He answers while fixing his shirt. I can't believe we were a part of this we did this to them..

"He's right. It doesn't matter... any of it... because the people we were before the maze - they don't even exist anymore. These Creators took care of that. But what does matter is who we are now, and what we do, right now. You both went into the maze and found a way out." Newt says, looking at him as he squeezes my hand but a bit tighter trying to reassure me. "Yeah, but if we hadn't, Alby would still be alive…" Thomas says getting up off the ground dusting off his pants.

"Maybe. But I know that if he were here, he would be telling you the exact same thing: Pick your ass up and finish what you've started. Because if we do nothing, then that means Alby died for nothing, and I can't have that.."Newt says, looking at me then at the other two. "We need to get through Gally.." Thomas says as we nod our heads.

I look over at Thomas as we all discuss the plan as Gally has two people drag Thomas out as he faked that he was out cold still while four other guys dragged me and Teresa to the poles. "Do you really think banishing us will solve anything?" I ask, looking at Gally. "This is not a banishing, it's an offering tie them up." Gally says to me.

"This is crazy, you're crazy!" Teresa says as they get tied up to the poles. "He's gonna get you all killed if you listen to him!" I said, looking at Gally. "Shut up and tie him up!!" Gally says to the other two boys as they start to lift up Thomas but he elbows one of the guys as Newt knocks the other one out, cutting me down after.

Fry cuts down Teresa and hands her the machete as they all go by the open doors. "You're full of surprises…" Gally says, looking at him. "You don't have to come with us, but we are leaving. Anyone else who wants to come, now's your last chance!" Thomas says, looking at Gally holding the spears.

"Don't listen to him, he's just trying to scare you, all right?" Gally says looking at the others then at Thomas and them. "No, I'm not trying to scare you, you're already scared. All right? I'm scared. But I'd rather risk my life out there than spending the rest of it in here. We don't belong here. Hey, this place isn't our home. We were put here. Okay? We were trapped here! At least out there, we've a choice. We can make it outta here. I know that." Thomas said as the others looked around and started to walk over, joining me and the others.

"Come on Gally… let's go together" I saidlooking up at him. "Good luck against the grievers you need it…" Gally says as me and the others took off running into the maze as Newt was limping and running. I looked back at Newt seeing and  went over to him and grabbed his hand, staying by his side the whole time.

Alice Pov

I was walking down the stairs holding the vase of flowers that I picked. Once I arrived at the bottom of the stairs I dropped the vase of flowers causing it to break on the floor as my family all looked over at me worriedly.

I see a beautiful girl with brown hair with blue eyes. She's Jasper's mate but something was off she was dirty and sitting inside a hole that has bars. What is going on…I can feel Edward trying to see as I let him in my vision.

There were two people dragging a boy out as he was out cold while four other guys dragged Jasper's mate and a girl to poles. "Do you really think banishing us will solve anything?" Jasper's mate asks, looking at a tall boy "This is not a banishing, it's an offering tie them up." The boy says to her.

What is happening something terrible is happening to Jasper's mate. A boy that had black hair cuts down the other girl and hands her the machete as they all go by the open doors. The boy with Raven hair color says, looking at the tall one holding the spears.

"Don't listen to him, he's just trying to scare you, all right?" The tall one says looking at the others then at the other boy with Raven color hair and them. "No, I'm not trying to scare you, you're already scared. All right? I'm scared. But I'd rather risk my life out there than spending the rest of it in here. We don't belong here. Hey, this place isn't our home. We were put here. Okay? We were trapped here! At least out there, we've a choice. We can make it outta here. I know that." Thomas said as the others looked around and started to walk over, joining Jasper's mate and the others.

"Good luck against the grievers you need it…" the tall one says to her and the others as they took off running into the maze as they were all running I saw Jasper's mate looked back at a boy with dirty blonde hair and  went over to him and grabbed his hand, staying by his side the whole time but what I was confused about is grievers what are they and why do they need luck against them?

Once I pulled out of the vision I saw my family looking at me worriedly as the vision was longer than normal. "Y-your mate Jasper she's beautiful but…I don't know where she's at..she's surrounded by boys and was tied up along with another girl..they were gonna sacrifice her and two other people….whatever is happening is bad.." I said feeling my eyes water but no tears came out since we all were vampires.

Jasper looked at me shocked and could feel the sadness as he looked at Edward wondering if it was true as he nodded his head. "I watched it all as they were trying to escape a place and she was holding a boy's hand.." Edward says, sighing as he's trying to figure it all out.
