Chapter 21

Once they arrived up the hill they had to stop the vehicle. "Guess we have to walk from here." Jorge says getting out as the others got out also. I stood on the ground looking around at the vehicles as I stretched a bit. Why are there vehicles all around blocking the way to the mountains? Me and Jorge talked the whole ride here and the sweet thing is he said that he's basically a father figure to Brenda and he could see me as his daughter. I thought it was sweet not gonna lie.

Thomas looked around, staying close to me as Newt had walked away. "Stay close to me Alex.…" Thomas says, looking at me. "Okie." I said watching Thomas walk over to a car that had bullet holes in it just as he went to touch it shots were fired at them causing Thomas to grab me and duck down behind that vehicle holding me close to his chest to keep me from getting hit by shots.

I cling to him scared when the guns went off. "Hey is everyone okay up there?" Thomas asks, holding me still. "We are fine! Anyone know where those bloody shots came from and where's Alex?!" Newt calls out not seeing me at all. "She's with me and Jorge." Thomas calls out to Newt looking around

"Son of a bitch Marcus led us into an ambush. Are you okay Alex?." Jorge says, taking off his gloves. Thomas leans up to look as more shots hit the vehicle causing me to lean down more to the ground. "I'm fine Jorge." I said as Thomas sighs annoyed. " What do we do?" Thomas asks, looking at Jorge holding me close as he can feel me shaking a bit.

"Here hold this we got to create a diversion you get ready to chuck it." Jorge says handing Thomas the bomb. "Okay everybody get ready to run back to the truck and hold your ears!" I called out looks at them two. "Okay one, two" Jorge says but stops when he hears someone talk behind them. "Drop it now!" The girl says as Thomas and Jorge drop them down and turns around seeing a girl pointing a gun at us.

"On your feet let's go!" The girl says as they slowly stand up as another girl pointed a gun at them. I look away seeing Newt and the others then look back at the two girls. "Let's go move!" One said pointing the guns at Thomas and Jorge as they started to move towards the others.

"Easy." Jorge says, having his hands up as I hold my hands up along with Thomas as they back away slowly. "You two get over here!" The girl says pointing at Newt and Minho causing them two to walk over with their hands up as the others join. "Don't be stupid move!" She calls again as she looks at the others, seeing Aris as she hesitates a bit.

"Slowly!" The other girl says watching. "Aris?.." The girl says  lowering her weapon as everyone looks at Aris confused as she pulls down her scarf. "Oh my god Harriet?!" Aris says walking up. "What the hell are you doing here?!" She asks, hugging him tightly as we all watch. "Sonya." Aris says smiling. "Aris you are lucky we didn't shoot your dumb ass" she says hugging him also.

"You alright man?" Sonya asks, smiling at him as she pulls away. "How-" Aris says, getting cut off by someone else. "Uh what's happening?" Minho asks, looking at them. "We were in the maze together." Aris says smiling as Harriet moves away whistling out to no one at first they thought it was no one.

"We're clear guys, come on out!" She calls out as me and the others look around seeing tons of people with guns coming out of hiding as I look over at Aris and the girls. "My god you're alive" Sonya says touching his cheek happily as they all started to follow Sonya and Harriet looking around.

"Back it up Joe!" Sonya says walking as I follow soon feeling a hand touch mine and looks at the person seeing Newt while we walk down the road with the others as we were holding hands slightly. "We're taking them to base." Harriet says walking. "Wait, so how did you guys get here?" Aris asks following them.

"The right arm got us out." Harriet answers about to open the car door. "The right arm, do you know where they are?" Thomas asks, looking at her moving to the front. Harriet smes and opens the car door nodding her head to the seats. "Hop in." She says as they all got in  Thomas looked at me and was about to grab my arm but felt someone grab his arm as it was Teresa.
