Once morning came I woke up seeing Aris getting up and getting ready. "Morning" I said, getting up and stretching. "Morning to you too, let's go get food." Aris says opening the door and walks out with me following close behind him.
I walk into the dining area and see Newt with the others talking. I still felt hurt from yesterday and grabbed my food following Aris to the table and sat down in front of him. Honestly I would rather sit with him right now.
"Why are you not sitting with the others?" Aris asked as I shook my head. "Um well I guess I'm upset and jealous a bit…and I think one of the gladers that I like only kissed my head and hold my hand in the glade only did it cause he was lonely…I was the only girl there until Thomas and Teresa shown up…he said you were lucky for being surrounded by girls…" I said eating as Aris sighs softly listening.
"He could have been but don't overthink about it okay?" He asked as I nod my head pouting and eat as Janson walks in again. "Okay listen for your name then come up here!" He says as he starts naming off a few boys and girls. "Okay that's it for today, '' Janson says as he leaves the room with the others.
"So did you show Thomas yesterday?" I asked, looking at Aris as he nodded his head. "Ya I did now waiting for a sign." Aris says as I nods and get done eating until I hear Thomas' voice looking over at the door seeing Thomas trying to get through the guys and the door. Well this is interesting I thought to myself watching
"Why won't you let me see her?!" Thomas yells mad as he keeps trying to get passed as he steals the card. The guard pushes Thomas back. "You guys better get your friend!!" He yells as Thomas shoves him. "Thomas what's going on I thought we were trusting each other. You know we are all on the same side." Janson says as Thomas looks at him scuffling.
"Are we?" He asks as Janson sighs and clicks his tongue. "Take them to their room." He says as Thomas and them all got dragged away. "Come on Alex" Aris says as he grabs my hand and pulls me up and goes into our room.
Once we made it Aris moved the vent and got inside it as I nodded and got down on the ground seeing the vent as I crawled after him. I look around as we crawl soon hearing voices. "You don't know that they gave us new clothes, food and a bed. A lot of us haven't had that in a long time." A British voice says as I already knew it was Newt talking.
"Ya but-" Thomas says but gets cut off by Newt. "A lot longer than others…" Newt says as Aris opens the vent. "Hey Thomas, you got the card?" Aris asks, looking at them. "Ya I got it look maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I gotta find out for sure. Just keep a look out until I get back okay?" Thomas says as Newt sighs.
"What about Alex? We need to find her..." Minho says as Aris looks back seeing me and moves out of the way completely then looks under. "Come on Alex." he says, holding out his hand as I take it and gets out looking at them all as Thomas, Minho, Fry and Winston tackles me in a hug while Newt watches.
"Where have you been?!" Fry asks as Thomas leaves with Aris so they could be quick. "I share a room with Aris." I said smiling at them as Minho looked between me and Newt. "Why are you two not hugging or holding hands and that?" Minho asked as I heard and was about to speak.
"Bloody hell if I know she left lunch yesterday without saying anything." Newt says, sighing as I felt hurt more. "She is uncomfortable with this place, she just needs time." Fry says as him and Aris knew about why I was acting like that. Newt and Minho looked at each other and shrugged as they all sat down waiting for Thomas and Aris to show up. I sat away from everyone looking at the vent waiting as Minho sat next to me.
"Wanna tell me the real reason?" Minho asks, sitting there next to me. "There is nothing to tell.." I said as Minho sighs. "You're lying, I can tell." Minho answered, looking at me. "Fine…Newt said that Aris is lucky for being surrounded by girls…I got jealous and hurt…I thought he liked me but I feel like he only kissed my head and held my hand because I was the only girl.." I said tearing up as I looked over at him.
Minho nods looking back at me as we all start to hear banging sounds as the vent door got thrown out from underneath the bed and out appeared Thomas and Aris. Thomas was freaking out as Aris looked scared. "We need to go now!!" Thomas says as he picks up a bed sheet tying it to the door and the wall before putting the bed up against it as everyone is asking questions.
"She's not dead, it's always been them…" Thomas kept saying as Newt tilted his head. "Who's not dead Tommy, what are you talking about?" Newt asks as Fry sighs. "Thomas was it Teresa?" Fry asks, watching as Thomas groans annoyed. "It's WCKED it's always been WCKED Ava Paige is alive still we need to go " Thomas says as Newt puts his hand on the door. "Thomas what did you see..?" Newt asks as he takes us through the vents looking for a spot. Arriving at an opening he opened the vent door and got out helping me and the others out.
