Survivor (Newt/Jasper Hale fanfic)

Chapter 22

Newt looks over at me and bites his lip about to ask me a question as he hears Thomas walk over and sit down next to me. "Wish Alby got to see this.." Newt says, looking at Thomas and me.  "Winston " Fry says, sighing softly looking at the others. "And Chuck." Thomas says pulling out the figure wood that Chuck made holding it in his hand looking at it.

"He would be proud of you Tommy" Newt says as Thomas smiles sadly and nods his head looking out at everyone on the ground. "Hey Aris!!" Fry calls out as Aris looks up at us all and waves. "I like that kid. " Fry says as I nod my head agreeing while smiling. "Yaaa but I still don't trust him." Minho says, causing us to chuckle and giggle.

"Where's Teresa?" Thomas asks, looking at us. "She's up there." I said pointing up at the spot she was at as he nodded and got up walking up to her. "Alex, can we have that talk now?" Newt asks as I look over at him and nods my head. "Sure." I said getting up and followed him to a place where no one else was at.

"What did you need to talk about?" I ask as I watch Newt pace back and forth causing me to be worried that something was wrong. "N-newt what's wrong?" I asked him as Newt stopped and looked at me. "Well are you and Thomas a thing?!" Newt asks, looking at me.

"What no, I'm pretty sure he likes Teresa." I said shocked by the question. "Are you sure 'cause he's holding your hand and you two are always close together!" Newt says, looking at me still with anger and jealousy in his eyes. "Newt….nothing is going on between me and him." I said, looking at him as Newt speaks.

"Real- but got cut off by a loud explosion causing Newt to pull me to him holding my hand. "Let's go find the others!" Newt calls to me as there is screaming and crying from everywhere as we run looking for the others. I let go of Newt's hand. "Go help them I'm gonna help the injuries!" I said  as Newt nodded and ran over to Minho and the others grabbing guns.

I helped pick up the people that were hurt to safety on my way back to where the others are. I saw WICKED shooting the guns that tazed people as I got grabbed and pulled down behind a tall box seeing Thomas, Brenda and Jorge hiding. "Stay Alex, I don't want you getting hurt." Thomas says as he was about to run off Brenda stopped him as well.

"Thomas stop if she can't then you can't either and we can't help them look." She says pointing at Newt and the others was on the ground in pain from being tazed. My eyes tear up watching Newt being tazed. I felt useless not being there with him. "You guys go…I'm not leaving them." Thomas says looking at me, Brenda and Jorge.

"Don't be crazy, there's nothing you can do for them. " Jorge says, looking at Thomas. "I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying and I'm not taking no for an answer.." I said, looking at Thomas as he sighs knowing he won't be able to change my mind.

"Me and Alex will stay, you guys go now ." Thomas says as Jorge takes Brenda away sighing Thomas looks into the bag and pulls out the bomb and the detergent device and hides it in his pockets without letting me see. "Let's go Alex" Thomas says as I nod and get up following him as I hear Janson's voice. "Where's Alex and Thomas?" Janson asks, looking around.

"We are right here." Thomas says walking over with me close to him as Janson smiles. "Ah Thomas and Alex there you are." He says as he punches Thomas in the stomach then punches me in the stomach causing me to whine in pain tearing up.

"I'll bloody kill you!!!!" Newt yells as he tries to get up only to be tazed by a guard and yells in pain. "N-newt!" I cried out tears falling as Janson sighs annoyed. "Get them in line and send her in." Janson says backing up as Minho looks at Thomas. "Why didn't you two run away?" Minho asks, whispering to us. "I'm tired of running.". Thomas says looking at Newt, Minho and Fry as a loud berg comes flying in and slowly lands as the berg hatch opens and out comes Ava Paige.
