Survivor (Newt/Jasper Hale fanfic)

Chapter 28

I sit in the back looking out the window as Jorge drives. Brenda looks at me sad. "You okay Alex...?" She asks as I shake my head. "No he left…why did he leave me…" I asked as tears fell down my cheek looking over at her. "We will find them and I might kick Newts ass for hurting you are like a daughter to me just like Brenda is to me" Jorge says driving after a while they pull up to a big tunnel seeing a light inside and a crash sound.

My eyes widen hearing. "Is that them?!" I asked as Jorge drove into the crash sight seeing Newt, Fry and Thomas. Brenda stands up and shoots in the front as I stand up  and shoot at the ones behind them. Fry runs over and sees me as he gets into the back as the other two runs over.

Newt sees me and sighs getting in as he sits in the seat next to me and Thomas gets in the back. Me and Brenda sat down as Jorge drove out of there. "Love…I'm sorry for leaving without saying anything…" Newt says as I didn't look at him or answer as tears fell. "Love, please look at me…." Newt says as Brenda turns around and looks at them.

"We didn't want to drag you guys into this…" Thomas says as Brenda looks at them still. "What he's meaning to say is thank you for saving us." Fry says while she sighs. "Newt..Alex was worried about you, very worried….she came into my room crying her eyes out.." Brenda says turning away as Newt hears shocked and turns to me putting his arm around me and pulls me close to his chest.

"I'm so sorry love I didn't want you to get hurt or taken from me…" Newt says as I hug him tightly, tears falling. "I was so worried…we go together I wanna help rescue Minho, he's my friend as well.." I said looking up at him. Newt smiles sadly and whips away the tears and kisses my forehead softly. "I'm sorry, please forgive me love." Newt says looking into my eyes as I sniffle and nod my head.

"I forgive you.." I said, hugging him again. Jorge kept driving until they pulled up to the city. "Woah.." I said looking at the city as Jorge parks the vehicle as we all get out looking up at the wall. "Those walls are new. I guess that's WCKD's answer for everything." Jorge says looking at it and goes back to the vehicle getting in.

"Three years we spent behind those walls, trying to break out. And now you want us to break back in." Newt says, looking at Thomas as he holds my hand, sighing. "You know she's gonna be there right…" I said looking at Thomas as he nodded his head, sighing. "Ya I know.." he says as they all get into the vehicle. 

I look around as we pull up to the broken down city walking through the crowd as I hold onto Newt's hand, scared to get separated as they follow Thomas and the others. They all stand in the front watching vehicles pass by them as I look up seeing a person on the back of one of the vehicles staring at us as we walk through the crowd.

Me and the others try to push through. Newt looks back seeing that we were being followed. "We need to get Thomas we are being followed." He says going up to Thomas. "Hey we need to go look!" Newt says pointing at the guys as if on cue a loud blaring sound starts going off. They all looked up at the wall as WICKED started to shoot at them causing everyone to run off.

While we were running I got grabbed and pulled away from Newt. "No Newt!!" I called out trying to grab Newt's hand as we got pushed into the vehicles me, Thomas and Brenda were all in a vehicle together as Brenda grabbed my shaking hand as we looked at the person that kidnapped us.  "You're dead meat…" I mumbled looking at the guy.

Once the vehicles arrive they all get out as I see Newt and try to run over to him but they hold up the gun. "Stop moving!!" One yells as I become scared as Newt walks over not caring and pulls me behind him. The last vehicle pulls up shaking and grunts as the doors open and out comes one of the guys.

Jorge jumps down grabbing his shirt. "Where are they?!" He yells as Brenda and me run over. "We are right here!!" I said as Brenda talked also. "We are here!!" Brenda says as Jorge calms down and hugs her then hugs me. "Put the guns down, we are all on the same side.!" The person says as Thomas glares at him.

"The hell we are, who are you?!" Thomas says mad as he stands next to Newt. The person sighs and takes off his hat and mask as everyone stares at the person in shock. "G-gally." I said looking at him as Thomas balls up his fist and runs over punching Gally hard as Newt runs over grabbing Thomas arm. "Stop Tommy stop." He says, looking at him.

  "He killed Chuck…" Thomas says as he was staring him down mad. "Ya but I also remember he was stung and out of his bloody mind back up." Newt says as Thomas moves away and Gally stands up rubbing his cheek. "I deserved that…anyone else wanna take a swing? Newt, Fry and Alex?" Gally asked as I shook my head. "How are you alive?" Fry asks, shocked as Newt joins in. "We watched you die.." Newt says as Gally sighs. "No you guys left me there to die." Gally says, looking at them.
